So? He's smart. He wants to learn. He wants to know about the process. He wants to be an informed owner. I'll bet Cuban attends a lot of these things.

1) Mickey Loomis ... likely there, as stated, to watch Demps and report back to owner what he thinks. Could also be there to help with some financial areas within the GM's office.

2) Pretty soon, this board really hopefully realize the Hornets aren't looking at what position said player is listed. The interviews, work-outs, etc. have all been catered to how can you fit/play with Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon.

3) Anyone have a clue about afternoon workouts, if they exist today?

Monty talked about PJIII and Sullinger today. Not much interesting in the PJIII interview other than he seemed very impressed with his length and athleticism. When talking about Sullinger he thought he'd score fine, mentioned Randolph and Landry. He did say he thought long guys like Ibaka and Gasol might bother him but said that's when he'd go to his jumper.

Folks have been saying that since we found out about Loomis coming to the Hornets. He'd make no basketball decisions, etc...

Now he's evaluating draft prospects. The Saints GM is evaluating NBA draft prospects. Thats all i'm saying...

He's just watching but Demps said evaluating because if he said he was just watching then half of Saints Talk would show up with pitchforks because he's not signing Brees right now.

Having Loomis appear publicly involved with the Hornets will also make all the meetings Benson has with Loomis for "basketball reasons" seem more plausible to NFL.

I hope they can keep Davis at the 4. Calipari has said whoever got AD, needs to play him at the 4 and possibly the 3 later on. He said it would be a big mistake to have him play the 5 in the NBA. Of course Calipari is not coaching the Hornets, I just hope he gets to develop into a consistent outside shooter. Defensively he can use his athleticism more from the 4.

PJones if motivated playing alongside AD could be a formidable duo in a few years. Jones may be the most athletic player in the draft.

The Bobcat fans are crying wanting the Hornet name back.

davis is a solid fit for the 4, if he fills out like DH12 you could move him to the 5 you never know

"We'd keep our options open, obviously, but right now we're looking at guys that we can draft with the 10th pick," Demps said. "Now if someone makes us a deal that's going to make our organization better, we'll definitely take a look at it. But as of today, right now, nothing's happened. ... We plan on using the 10th pick."

quote:

"Perry is a guy who you have to see in person to realize how good of an athlete he is. He can put the ball down and shoot it a little bit. He's really quick," Williams said. "Jared is a guy who can shoot it pretty sound, more deliberate in his approach to posting up the ball."

quote:

"I'm not a testing type of guy. I'm a basketball player," Sullinger said. "If I'm so robotic in testing or I couldn't do the testing because I wasn't robotic enough, I apologize to everybody that thinks I didn't do well. That's just me. I'm a basketball player. I know how to play with a basketball."

quote:

"The great players get criticized the most," Jones said, mentioning Miami Heat star LeBron James as a prime example. "So that's just getting me ready for that next level. ... I can't satisfy everybody with the way I play. All I can do is satisfy the coaches in the gyms and the team I play for, work as hard as I can for them."

quote:

In regard to Sullinger's supposed lack of raw athleticism, Williams said, "You've seen it done before — a lot of guys who aren't great athletes that could just get it done. Zach Randolph is somebody I know personally who is a guy who isn't a great athlete. He couldn't jump over a peach seed. But he can get it done on a night in, night out basis."

quote:

As for Jones, Williams said he believes "environment and coaching will have a lot more to do with it than just his ability and will. ... Desire is something that can be enhanced or learned, depending on who you get around."

I'd be concerned about Sullinger's back issues. Held him out for a few games this last season and that's not even close to the wear and tear of an NBA schedule.
