Will never forget draft night when basically we all wanted Murphy to fall to us. Every pick before him was like this:

What's crazy is the predraft rise. Up until workouts, most mocks had him as a middle of the 2nd, late first at best. I kept trying to find the flaw. He was 6'8, looked at least solid defensively, and posted 50-40-90. Even if he never became more than a role player, I thought he was undervalued. Then he started rising and when we traded down I thought we'd miss out.

humbug
I had him at 10 for Pels.
was surprised pels got him.
Fwiw memphis took lebrons nephew ziaire williams 10th.
he has a knee issue. kept him sidelined all season.
looked decent rookie season. after summer league stint as Pg went to Spain to practice with santi aldama. knee says no mas.
you never know.

I remember when the board wanted

Moody
Kispert
Bouknight
Duarte

Really good draft for role players

I remember most people wanted Moody at 10. It wasn't until we worked out Murphy and the rumors started swirling about us trading down to take him that our fanbase really started to get behind him as the pick.

You guys are wayyy y
Undervaluing him...he's like Kareem with his touch around the rim, Reggie Miller from 3, and Olajuwon defending the basket.

Oh, and clutch like MJ. Not 3. Not 4. Not 5....

I liked Davion at 10 thinking he could turn into… well, what Jose has been.

I was all about moody and liked kispert bc we desperately needed threes. Then you’re right, Trey flew up the boards and I can’t believe we traded down and still got him. Unreal.

Yea I wanted Moody at 10, but was hoping for Krispert or Trey after we moved down b/c they were the best shooters in the draft.

Moody isn't dependable enough to be a role player.
Kerr still talks hopefully that Moody has the epiphany. for now he is deep bench. the star of Arkansas I saw on tv hasn't happened.

as for kispert I thought he was the real deal until the champ game where he choked.
he's had a couple nice games. they remain hopeful.
