Trey had his 7 points and 3 rebounds within his first 5 minutes

He had opportunities. Even a couple of sets that were designed for him and they ended terribly. Trey will be fine, but he had a bad game on both sides of the ball last night - it happens.

Absolutely not. His spacing would have been a life saver when our offense was getting completely stifled especially in the second half. And he just didn’t play

Memphis is best in the league in limiting points at the rim. They had 7 blocks last night and we still refused to shoot.

Zion and Murphy played 5 minutes together last night and had a positive net rating. Why isn't Willie playing Murphy with Zion for the majority of Trey's minutes? They have great chemistry. Why is Trey playing most of his minutes with Ingram? shite makes no sense.

You have to think of it the way Willie does. He gets 19 point lead and thinks we just need to play good defense to hold onto win. So he prioritizes defense over everything to get the win. Meaning guys like Herb, Dyson and Naji play heavier minutes and overall defense heavy lineups.
But this is fundamentally wrong. Instead of continously scoring you are trying to just stop the other team from scoring. In football terms, it’s basically wasting clock and playing prevent defense to get the win. Its a recipe for the other team to come back because you no longer are aggressive and attacking like before.

You have to wonder if Herb deserves to be in the closing lineup. His defense is good but clearly still can’t stop Morant 1 on 1. If he can’t shut down his matchup then might as well use Trey
