Not sure what your 2nd line has to do with anything but the 3 players you mentioned are not projects. Especially Trey and Herb. I don't think that word means what you think it means

noun
/'prä?jek(t)/
1.
an individual or collaborative enterprise that is carefully planned to achieve a particular aim.
"a research project"

Not here for your dumb shite shel. They are projects. The aim is for them to become high-level bench performers or border line potential All-Star (Trey)

It seems you dont know what the word means.

Every team will abuse DLo on switches until Ham takes him off the court. Zion will have fun with that skinny man

True, but offensively, you could call him a project. I dunno that term is fairly subjective - not really a fan of using it.

He’s a “big name” PG but he’s not worth shite. He had ANT and KAT for years, 2 number 1 overall picks and how did he help them..? By blowing a huge playoff lead to the Grizzlies? DLo is dogshit

I see this as maybe 2-3 extra wins for the Lakers. Not enough to get them in the play in even. And it hurts their future by giving up one of the few assets they have in their 27 1st.

Ok keep telling yourself that. He's a legit deep threat and won't have an issue playing with James like Westbrook does. So they lose a little on defense but that will be managed with their already strong team defense. But teams won't be able to clog the paint when Russell and Beasley open up the lane.

You don't know what that word means, it's fine. You provided a definition which only hurt your argument, by your definition BI and CJ and Zion are all projects too.

You get a project! You get a project! Everybody gets a project!!

This is a really good trade for the lakers and a bad occurrence for pels fans that we’re rooting for the picks.

With this trade Portland and OKC are the only teams we have to hope they keep them out of the 10th spot. I don’t have faith in them the way they’ve played

Which one of these guys is gonna take the blame if LeBron doesn’t win a championship now? Is Davis the scapegoat now that Westbrook is gone?

A legit deep threat, we talking about the same guy who has now been traded for the 3rd time? The same guy who shot 34% from 3 last season with ANT and KAT, 2 first overall picks that profile as VERY SIMILAR players as Lebron and Davis. Pull up the playoff tape from last year and watch my man shrink to minuscule heights

Boy you keep trying to sell anything to downplay how big of a move this is for them. I don't give a shite what they do in the playoffs. I only give a shite about the draft pick swap which is worth very little now that they are pretty much good enough to make the playoffs.

Projects today will not be projects forever. See NAW and Jaxson. At some point they get good enough to not be projects or you move on.

We should regularly have a stable full of projects like Trey, Dyson and Herb instead of Demps era plan of trying to get GLeaguers to start. If “too many projects” is a problem, it is a rich people problem that is good to have.

I’m not against a good trade using the picks, but the idea that we don’t have the resources to keep using them on players is just absurd. This team has more coaches than it ever has thanks to Mrs. Benson’s open check book.

Their what?

They fricking suck on defense.

Holy shite the Lakers optimism in this thread.

They traded a first round pick for a bunch of c tier players lmao.

The reason they got rui, beasley, vanderbilt and Dlo for nothing is because those 4 guys suck arse lol

They could have traded this same package plus one even further into the future pick to get hield and turner who are Myles better than the players they got back.

When Tony pulls a vulva or LeGm twists a fallopian tube none of this will matter regardless. At least Russ was on the court every night.

Another pick out the door.

All that matters is they didn’t get Kyrie, who unlike this pu pu platter, would have made a difference.
