Trade machine says it works with $10m going out besides Conley.
Problem is that the previous deals between these teams limit their ability to move some players like P Bev around.

BREAKING: Russell to Lakers, Conley to Wolves
Is this real? I'm only seeing its being talked about

As of now, just discussed.
Apparently the Jazz and Lakers have had a framework in place for a Russ deal and the Wolves are being looped in on it.

OP needs to change their subject title

Nothing confirmed yet. They’re waiting for Minny. Seems like the wolves want more

Yea they better be hesitant because they basically handing the Lakers their play in spot doing that deal.

This feels like not enough to hand a team that wants to tank two first for role players.
I can see the following
Lakers get
Russell
Vanderbilt
Beasley
Jazz get
Lakers 2027 1st (unprotected)
Westbrook
Jazz also will have a lot more flexibility as they shed a lot of 2024 cap usage in Conley and Beasley. Allows for them to take on a salary from a team like the Heat for a 1st round pick if they need to get off Duncan or Lowry. Or even a team like the Mavericks wanting to shed Bertans.
Timberwolves get
Conley
Their own 2023 1st round pick back

I feel like that's not nearly enough for Utah

The Lakers are finalizing deal to land Minnesota’s D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt in trade including Mike Conley and picks to Timberwolves and Russell Westbrook and a lightly protected 2027 LA first-round pick to Jazz.
Also in deal: Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damian Jones to Jazz, Nickeil Alexander-Walker to the Timberwolves, sources said.
Minnesota gets 2024 lesser of Washington-Memphis second round pick and 2025 and 2026 second-round picks via Utah, sources tell ESPN.
The Lakers' 2027 first-round pick to the Jazz is protected 1-to-4, source tells ESPN.

Great deal for them. Wow.

Yeah, that’s a great deal for Lakers, I think that deal will elevate them like our CJ/Nance deal last year. What else sucks is they’re all young players so they’re covered for next season too.

Lakers have added Rui, DLO, Beasley, and Vanderbilt for essentially a future protected first round pick.
Posted on 2/8/23 at 7:18 pm to Broski
must be nice for franchises to hand you players
Posted on 2/8/23 at 7:18 pm to Fun Bunch
They traded a c+ for a bunch of c-'s
I'm not that impressed. Dlo isn't a third guy on a title team, I'm not even sure he's a 4th
