First time messing with the trade machine but what would y’all think of this. I don’t like giving up holiday but to me it’s worth it long term.

UPDATED with a few more adjustments *

Pelicans, Memphis, Knicks

Pelicans get:
Jackson Jr.
Robinson
Parsons - (Only bad contract but only 2 years left)
#2 pick(Morant)
Deandre Jordan (1 year left on deal)
Knox

Memphis gets:
Holiday
#3 overall(Barrett)
Kevin Knox
Solomon Hill*
Trier*

Knicks get:
AD
Moore*
Wright*

We aren’t trading Jrue. We aren’t cutting Jrue.

Can we please get something stickied that says we aren’t moving Jrue.

Jrue in any deal is a nonstarter imo

You're definitely not a Pels fan, as we would be getting bent over and screwed harder than a French hooker in that deal

How your getting a potential Allstar point guard for 8 years to pair with Zion. If you believe Morant can be a Westbrook/Lilliard type player than it makes sense.

Your also getting 2 sophomore 1st round players on cheap contracts.

I think people have a delusion that we will be a contender any time soon. I love Jrue but by the time we are competitive he will be on the tail end of his contract and 32 years old.

Robinson put up numbers on a bad team, there is reason to believe his numbers were inflated due to what was around him..

We are also eating one of the worst deals in the NBA, while giving up our all-star best defensive player in the league guard who actually WANTS to be here..

I stand by my statement that we would be getting screwed

fricken terrible

You are essentially trading Davis and Holiday for #2 pick.
Are you serious?

Knox is unproven.
Jordan is trash who has one year left anyway.
Parsons - self explanatory
Robinson put up decent numbers on a bad team.

No thanks

We need a trade scenario thread, where we are able to just ignore stupid trade scenarios. I applaud people for trying because even bad trades are fun to look at

Someone could make a thread on trade proposals, there will still be 10 new threads a day with stupid ones like this

Only thing I regret with the updated trade, is I dont have another downvote to give..

We are not giving up Jrue under ANY circumstance, so you might as well edit it again and take him out..

Also, we will need more than that to take on a contract like Parsons, I mean like Memphis giving us a 2021 1st (which they cant do until the Boston one conveys).. His deal is THAT bad

Sometimes you just need to say "Sorry sons, I don't know what got into me." and move on.

Somehow you managed to propose the most idiotic trade idea ive seen yet, without including the Lakers. Well done.

Let me tell you why this trade doesn't even work legally much less makes any lick of sense.

1. Jrue: The Pelicans have been touting a renewed sense of a culture of sustainable excellence. In just about every interview Griffin has given he has said that Jrue is "all in" and wants to do everything he can to make the situation work. So, your idea is to trade away an integral part of the culture you're aiming to build? Talk about a way to damage your brand immediately. Let this be a lesson to anyone that states that Jrue is going to be traded (here's looking at you Fletch)

2. You literally have the same player going to the Pelicans and Knicks (Kevin Knox). Unless cloning is a thing, this is physically impossible. And if you're going to clone a player, wouldn't it be Zion or AD or Jrue or I don't know, Steph or KD?

3. DeAndre Jordan does not have one-year left on his deal. He's an unrestricted free agent. Unlikely he'd do a sign-and-trade and the Pels wouldn't want him any way.

4. Delon Wright is a restricted free agent this offseason, so again why would do a sign-and-trade to end up on the Knicks?

This is so bad on so many levels.
