hopefully there is legit interest

Toronto would make a great trade partner. But would Ingram re-sign with them?

With the report coming from Stein it definitely should be legit interest.
In the article it says they feel they can get Ingram to add a scoring punch and still be in a position to land a top draft pick.
Bruce Brown and Davion Mitchell or Kelly Olynyk for Ingram and Theis(only with KO) works for salary, add a couple of the Pacers picks to that and I think we could have a deal.

Well we know RJ Barrett would be the player of interest from our end.

Why would Toronto want Ingram on an expiring deal? Trying to shed a contract?

Bringing back RJ Barrett might mend the Zion bridge A LOT

McNamaras trade idea was Brown, Boucher, Indy 2026 1st round pick. id prefer that. but RJ would be fine. he won't hurt our tanking process

I'm not sure I would want to take on Barrett's contract for the next three years. Don't see him as worth it.

How do y'all expect us to be relevant while we trade BI/ CJ yet don't want to take back any players with a pulse?
Who would be "worth it" because I don't think there's a single player that can get us 20pts a game amongst other stats that makes less than the 20's.
If no player worth +20mil is worth it then what the frick do y'all want?

What? Have you not seen him since he’s out if NY?
He’s putting up a 22/6.7/5.8 stat line this year on 47% shooting and 35% from 3. He’s basically putting up BI numbers for half the contract BI wants.

What an intriguing team. Tons of middle level contracts. Some expiring, some longer term with talent. All of their firsts plus one lightly protected Indy 2026 first.
Poeltl is another guy that wouldn’t be crazy for us to have interest in.

No you are getting confused. The goal is to take back 0 players worth a shite, trade BI, trade CJ, and expect to be a contender next year. And if we aren't then people will be just dumbfounded how we ended up there.

How about this one?
Detroit: CJ, Temple
Raptors: BI, Beef Stew
Pels: RJ, THJ, KO (using MLE exception), picks
Gives us a long term piece in RJ, an expiring, a big we can use in KO, and a 33.3 million dollar TPE.

I’ve wanted him for a while now because he is a solid big on a reasonable contract.

He’s a tough fit with Zion no doubt, but a true 7 foot rebounder and shot blocker at $19.5. Along with Missi, you could do a lot worse at the center position at that cost. I really would like to get a rotation player with a first in this deal. While the Indy pick is lightly protected, I’m not sure how great it will turn out.

Poetl would be nice but why would they trade him or Barrett?
