She's not going to do that.

The best case scenario is that she sells 10% at a time to him for cash infusions over the course of several years, so that he owns 30-40% at the time of her passing, and then simply acquire the rest and bring on minority owners and investors

But for what I am hearing, Gayle does not want to do that. She wants to keep 100% ownership of both until her passing.

Saints at $5.63 billion (3rd lowest in NFL, above Jaguars and Bengals).
Pels at $4.02 billion (2nd lowest in NBA, above Memphis).

Obviously the market ultimately dictates what the value is, but these valuations provide some context at least.

Don’t underestimate Rita in these negotiations as she still has a considerable 30% stake in both franchises. If she can muster another 21% from sympathetic investors she could be a possible new majority owner when Gayle passes.

Not surprised to see the Saints and Pels valued among the poorest in those leagues; any shrewd new owner would see a 50% bump by simply moving the teams to more appropriate markets.

From what I know, 100% false. She has no stake whatsoever in either franchise.

Zero.

Arguing that the franchises would be performing much better off and more stable than under Gayle is not nonsense.

Our worst fears with Gayle’s prior business acumen on decorating have come to fruition with the Saints and Pels performance.

You realize a 50% bump would put the Pelicans as 9th best in the league? Where are you yanking this bullshite from?

Rita would have lost the team by now. All she was worried about was partying, not being a business owner. Sadly, Gayle is much better for the teams than that fool.

Former Archbishop Aymond has to be so proud that he worked to get Tom and Gayle together. It is going to pay off handsomely for he and the church.

Lakers are the most popular basketball team in the world. If there was a real bidding war it would've gone higher than $10 bil

Saints maybe make money though

She has matured greatly since her partying days. She got a little frustrated with that meter maid in Charleston as we all would. But with her multiple degrees Rita would’ve been set to go toe to toe with the Robert Krafts to build winners in New Orleans.

Are you retarded? He never said he wanted to own the Saints or Pelicans.

He was asked if he wanted to own "an NFL team" one day and he said it's a possibility. Then said nice things about Gayle when she was brought up.

Gayle isn't selling the team anytime soon so this topic is a low IQ Yat thing.

Maybe "now" was incorrect, but according to my padnuh who has some deep connects, she is willing to sell before she croaks, but only as a package deal. Graves is ready, willing and able to buy the Saints right now, but she doesn't want to sell the Saints to him right now, unless he takes the Pels as well. Graves doesn't want the Pels.

So the first name that came to his mind was Gayle Benson . Interesting don’t you think?

She gives everything back, but you know, maybe some day, if she’s like, ‘Here are the reins,’ who knows?”

Of course not, graves knows if he buys the Pels he has to move them and doesn’t want to be seen as the guy who killed the NBA in NOLA.

PELS arent moving about to sign a lease extension. Graves will likely be owner of both teams at some point.

That was the first name the person interviewing brought up because he actually has a relationship with her and, you know, LIVES in Louisiana occasionally.
