You're talking about taking a guy who has a really low floor who may not contribute even much until his 3rd year. Even then he may not even be that player you keep expecting. And you know what that coincides with? 2 years left for ad

1. Who loves his philosophy? Every fan I've ever discussed it with hates it. This team needs to be brought up more slowly.

2. With all that said, the philosophy is 100% Benson. I don't know Demps true feelings on it, he's the only one that does. He is only doing what he is told to do by his boss, like we all do.

Who fits that description more that's available?

Korkmaz does. He is exactly a 6'7" wing who can score and facilitate but i can't speak to his defense. But he's a trade down option, and I think Luwawu is too.

Outside of him, Luwawu, Valentine, and Brown I'm not sure who else would fit that in the draft

Watching Stanley Johnson guard Lebron last night similar physical tools but Brown is more athletic. He really has tools to become a superstar he will draw fouls at a high rate. He will also benifit with playing with shooters in cal he played with none so it made him look worse than what he actually is. He will also extremely benefit playing in this fast paced system.

Overrated? Who is hyping him? Almost everywhere I go treats him like most NFL draft boards treat A'Shawn Robinson.

Pretty sure he means he would rather Luwawu on a rookie scale salary than Barnes who will be getting $20m

We have been saying we need a SF for a long time now.
We've said that b/c we were paying EG too much money, then last year he was actually a good SG, and now he will be gone.

As of right now, we have no SG or SF for this team next year that is capable of making the difference we need.

So, we need a 2 and a 3 this offseason, whether through the draft or through FA. The best available player at our pick of 6, assuming 6, will be a SG most likely. Pick the SG. Do what you can to get a SF in FA or wait until next year.

QPon can play the 2 or 3 and be servicable for a year, but we need better starters at both of those positions, not just the SF position. You don't go draft some big bust potential guy like Luwawu earlier than projected just b/c we've needed a SF for the last 8 years. I say the same for Valentine, even though i'd like him. It's Hield or Dunn at 6, if they aren't there, i would not be upset about drafting down, especially considering the 6th pick historically is not that much better than the 17th pick on average.

82Games has an expected performance by each draft pick historically. After the top 5 picks, it's a huge dropoff from 5 to 6. With a top 5 pick, at minimum 60% of the time you got a star. With the 6th pick, that drops to 25%.
The 6th pick looks like the worst pick in the top 10 historically. Without Lillard, that pick has been pretty worthless historically. Picks 13 and 14, historically, have been about just as good as pick 6, when it comes to drafting a star/solid player.

I say he's overrated because i don't think he is as good as mock drafts project him, usually top 6

Lol we've avoided the issue of SF for so long so when we finally have a chance to grab and develop one and its "He's not good enough and will have to be developed". I have news for everyone we are not getting a SF in FA any time soon. And they only way we get one in trade is if we trade AD for him.

If we can become a playoff team again next year I don't think Hayward or Gallinari are out of the question. Especially if our returning to the playoffs helps keep both of their teams out for yet another year.
