This can't be all. The Pels aren't paying to send Theis out when it sounds like they could have gotten paid for Javonte Green. This has to be a move before a move, unless it's a fake 2nd and cash they are sending to OKC.

There is no reason for us to send a fake 2nd to OKC if they are getting a player. They would be sending one to us to have a token item of value in the deal.

Which is why we would be sending them a real pick or cash.
They have to send something back out, so they would be sending a fake 2nd or the rights to a player who will never make it to the NBA.

The only reason I could imagine them doing deal like this as a precursor to a BI deal is if it's because we're taking back multiple players and will need roster spots.
