Not arguing with you, but with that logic, you think Porter goes #1?
I think McLemore goes #1 because, while Cleveland needs a 3, they also need supporting talent to go around Kyrie.
Between McLemore and Dion Waiters, one will be the starting 2 and one will be the 6th Man.
Porter COULD go #1 overall, but I seriously doubt it happens because of the price tag involved.
They could probably end up grabbing Marion or Caron Butler as part of an attempt by another team to grab Dwight and/or CP3, which would be a stop-gap fix for them this season.

IMO,Dion Waiters>>>>>>Ben McLemore.

No way in hell Porter goes #1.

I could see the McLemore pick. Both would get serious minutes, being that teams aren't afriad to play small ball at the end of games in order to get the best players on the floor at one time. Let's say Cleveland does go McLemore, what do you think the rest of the top 5 looks like?
1. McLemore
2. Burke?
3. Noel
4. Len
5. Dipo/Bennett

I think Porter would be the only pick that everyone would be really happy about.
He's #1 on my board. #2 is Shabazz but I know that's a lost cause lol

I agree with you, if McLemore goes first.

How about...
1) Draft Porter at #6
2) Get that Marion and #13 deal (if it is a legit thing), then take MCW. Marion starts while Porter is groomed for a season.
3) Sign Al Jefferson in FA.
Just thinking out loud...
PG: GV, MCW, Roberts
SG: Gordon, Rivers, Cheap Vet Shooter?
SF: Marion, Porter, Miller
PF: AD, Ryno, Smiht
C: Jefferson, Lopez

Not me,
I will be hoping on draft night that someone in the top 5 takes him.
I can not understand why people have him rated so highly even in this "weak" draft. A slim, offesively limited wing with average athleticism. If given the choice between him and Muhammad I'd choose SHabazz.

1. Len
2. McLemore
3. Noel
4. Bennett
5. Dipo
6. Porter
God I hope this happens. Porter is the exact type of player Monty and Dell have said they are looking for, long, athletic and with a high basketball IQ. I know most think he doesn't have a great ceiling for his game, but his floor is Tayshaun Prince.

I'm as high on Shabazz as you can get. He's really the one player I REALLY want, but I don't see it happening. I'm hoping he falls a lot and someone we can trade back into the first round to get him somehow. I'm just trying to be realistic and I know we aren't picking Shabazz at 6.

Here's an idea for you...
Len at 6, trade with Dallas to get Shabazz and Marion at 13.
That shores us up at center and SF for the next few seasons while giving us a one-year starter in Marion and a lot of cap space for 2014-2015.

If we take Burke hopefully we have something else lined up for Rivers or GV
Let rivers backup Gordon, let GV backup Burke. Solid depth in the backcourt would allow us to soley focus on frontcourt in FA and trades

I hope I'm wrong, and maybe Noel being there at 3 changes everything, but I have a real hard time seeing Washington passing on Porter.

This is exactly the reason. Weak draft.
If it was 1993 and I was in this draft, I'd be a top ten pick.

This has definitely crossed my mind. I'm trying to not get my hopes up though.

We wouldn't have the cap space to do both of these.
