Completely fine with it

Pels still need to prove they are legit.

The teams above us either went further or have guys that have proven it at a higher level and are coming back healthy.

they don't have
1. backup guard
2. backup big

and they are introducing big boy to half the team.
how will he be used?
top tier teams already know how to play together.

and cj and zion may be weak links on d.

8th is fair. the top 6 in this list will know what to do with 2 minutes left.
early curry teams would get ground to chaff by spurs with playoff game on the line. those last few possessions separate the big boys from the wanna be.

Off season rankings assumes everyone is healthy. See Denver and LAC

There aren’t 7 better rosters than the Pels in the west.

But they do have plenty of left to prove.

KD calls all the shots and now wants Marks and/or Nash fired if he'll stay.

I'm pretty sure he basically is the one who hired Nash.

It's Lebron all over again. "Get me Westbrook!" 1 year later, "Trade Westbrook and fix this shitshow!!!"

In a meeting with Nets owner Joe Tsai, Kevin Durant reiterated his trade request and informed Tsai that Tsai needs to choose between Durant or the pairing of general manager Sean Marks and coach Steve Nash, sources say.

Sources: Kevin Durant informed Joe Tsai that he does not have faith in the Nets‘ direction. The meeting was described as transparent and professional, with a clear message: Keep me -- or the GM and coach.

I'd challenge him right back. You're a first ballot HOFer and top 3 player on the planet. Drive the fricking bus mother fricker.

KD and Kyrie thought they could.

Remember this...

quote:

Kyrie: “I don’t really see us having a head coach. You know what I mean? KD could be a head coach. I could be a head coach.”
Durant then added: “Jacque Vaughn could do it one day. It’s a collaborative effort, I think, on our part.”

But now the issue is coaching, the same coaching they said they would do themselves.

Nash shouldn’t have gotten the job in the first place but these two fricking geniuses requested him.

That shite is unbelievable

Nash is there BECAUSE these motherfrickers got the last guy fired. Pushed for Nash

And WTF has Marks done besides bend over backwards for those two?

He gave up the farm to get Harden for Durant, fired the coach they didn't like, brought in the one they demanded, traded Harden per his request due to Kyrie's bullshite.

LeGM fricks up the teams he goes to over the long run, but KD/Kyrie are on a completely other level with their terrible use of player power.

KD has called all the shots and done all the coaching per KD, but now is upset with the coaching and the team roster. No different than Lebron. shite is hilarious.

It would be more hilarious if KD retired rather than return to the Nets if they don’t get a trade they want.

KD taking his ball and going home for his career sums of the kind of guy he is.

Hell, at least to Lebron's credit he has something to show for his nonsense(at least short term), KD/Kyrie have fumbled everything out the gate.

Hell, I didn't even mention the whole trading off Jarrett Allen and forcing Marks to overpay for DeAndre Jordan.

If this is how KD’S brain is functioning right now, he arguably has negative trade value.

I got that. Is 1 higher or lower than 8?

When you say 8 is too low, do you go up to 1 or down to 1?

Position value vs numerical value

I like to use position value, I feel like it's more intuitive ie. 1 should always be the 'best' or 'top' or 'highest' even though it has the lowest numerical value

NY post

quote:

Kyrie Irving reportedly agrees with Kevin Durant in not believing in the direction of the Brooklyn Nets due to the leadership of Sean Marks and Kevin Durant. “Kyrie Irving hates these guys,” the source told The Post’s Josh Kosman. “He feels that Nash is terrible and Marks is bad.”

the lack of self awareness with these guys is pretty breathtaking
