Tried to find the the thread where we talked briefly about these draft prospects for this upcoming draft but couldn’t find it so figured id make an “official” one.

Jabari Smith looks absolutely legit so far in these first 2 games. Dude has great feet defensively and can shoot lights out. Small sample size but he’s a guy I’d be very happy in getting

Not sure what the talk has been about the strength of this draft, but I am getting 2003 vibes with lebron Wade Bosh returns. Stretching all the way to pick 6 or so

Jabari
Chet
Banchero

Jaden Ivey
Duren

I like Patrick Baldwin a lot. Looks very similar to Michael Porter, if he could stay on the court.

Jaden Hardy is worthy of being on the list as well

Hardy seems like the classic Uber athletic combo guard with no skill that gets overvalued.

From what I've read and the little watched of him, I think it's almost quite the opposite with Hardy. He's a good shooter and has ridiculous range. I think the question right now is his creation ability that you want to see from a guard going near the top of the draft.

Jabari has looked the most impressive in the very little sample size I've seen and I'm really intrigued by Pat Baldwin's shooting touch at his size. Kendall Brown looks like a well rounded player too.

Banchero just got busted with Coach K's grandson for DUI

Not sure if that'll drop him since it's so early in the season. It'll be a distant memory by March

I watch Chet Holmgren, he can handle the ball and has a little attitude to him, but man he is sooo skinny.

The one thing I like about him is that unlike someone like AD, he seems aware of himself enough to not put himself into stupid body compromising situations....Of course i thought that with Porzingas as well.

Not gonna lie and say the history of guys like him(thin 7'+ big men) isn't a red flag. Especially as the league seems to be moving back toward allowing more physicality.

Apparently he was charged with "aiding and abetting DWI" lol

Yeah I don’t think it would effect his draft stock much anyway but he wasn’t the one driving

Will that charge even hold up when he's not even the legal drinking age? That'll be interesting to watch for.

Keep an eye on Dyson Daniels.

It’s early, but out the gate I like him more than Jaden Hardy.

And after digging in, his growth in just a year is impressive, and that sort of ability to achieve tangible improvement seems to often translate. Because to me it’s showing you know how to learn with results. Whether it was AD, BI, Buddy, Herb, or Lonzo. I think the ability to diagnose and show major improvement with key fundamentals is one of the best indicators a player will continue to grow.

Not ready to write his ticket to the top 3, but I want to keep an eye on him
