Took what was traditionally a good team, started out well, and then made them progressively worse before getting shitcanned.

Her recruiting is relevant to this thread topic. You can definitely argue that her record at La Tech is irrelevant to getting the Pels job though.
I quickly just scrolled through the ESPN top 100 women's basketball recruits during her years at LA Tech. She never signed a single top 100 recruit.

something like that might work if you assume they both have talent.
