This guy seems to be working wonders with Z, and we definitely haven’t seen his best yet.

I think we have seen his best, but I’m happy to be wrong.

Stan Van gundy year Zion was an absolute beast when on the court. I don’t think we’ll see him ever be that dominant again. There was a big gap in Stan Van Zion and Borrega Zion

I was never in. If I see 65 games, 3-level scorer, “try” on defense, I’ll be in.

You're not going to see a 3 level scorer this yr. Zion finally started working on his game this summer.

I'm thinking another 2 summers like this one and his game will look different.

He was definitely a beast, but I think he has more in him.

He can become a 3 level scorer if/when he starts shooting more. Blake Griffin didn’t become a 3 level scorer until his 8th year in the league, so there’s precedent for that to happen.

So we gotta wait 10 years for dude to become a decent basketball player and not have an all athletic based game? We gotta wait until his athleticism is gone? Bro is going to be a fat Kyle Anderson or a 6ft 5 Kyle Lowry in year 10? Why? What is the point? Personally I'd cut him now. He's still an extremely dark cloud around this team. He's been the literal elephant in the room for 8 straight years now. If Zion does this. If he does that. frick this dude. He sucks.

I get the frustration, I do. but he's saying just because we haven't seen it in his game yet doesn't mean he can't add it. same with Brook Lopez, didn't add 3 to his game for a while.
But yeah its very frustrating, why did it take Zion 8 years to take his profession seriously? and is he even truly taking it seriously this time? or is it more off season hype talk. I guess we'll see come OCt.
But I think its a good sign he was there in vegas with his team. I don't know if you heard DJM interview he was talking about Him and Zion leading by example and doing the right things. If DJM can hold him accountable better than CJ could that would be a good start.

Being a Pelicans fan =/= thinking *insert year here* is the year Zion puts it together.

Good try though.

I get Blake Griffin and Brook Lopez are just examples, but they are the height of PF / C . Zion is the height of an average SG . That’s been my frustration, if he was the height of Shaq, I wouldn’t care as much that he is so one dimensional as a scorer.

He throws the entire balance of the team off when he is in the starting lineup. No other “superstar” his height or #1 on a team his height, has such a limited offensive game.

Yet somehow the Pels keep going against how every successful franchise is constructed. The results speak for themselves.

Who cares. Hes efficient as frick and doesn’t hog offensive attempts.
