I don't see the correlation.

our front office isn't going to see a big difference between playing experience in the NBA vs WNBA. I'm sorry if that bothers you but it's just how it is.

I like the idea of making Weatherspoon a sort of figure head HC to make the players and especially Zion happy and for the good PR then giving one of these other more experienced names we are looking at a pay raise and making them associate HC.

She's not an NBA MVP but she is a hall of famer, that's not too bad on a resume

WNBA isnt the NBA no matter how much players want to act like they respect it

Sounds like a puppet for Griffin to pull strings and control.

Why not make the experienced name the HC and Weatherspoon the lead assistant?

this is why this was a stupid idea to leak that she was a candidate..

Either she actually is -- which proves how useless Griffin is

or.. you hire a qualified head coach, and get raked over the coals for passing on the black lesbian

First off, that's stupid.

But let's go ahead and say you're correct.

Are they not going to differentiate between her only coaching gig prior to this season is a women's NCAA gig?

Really? How many candidates have coached 6 years in college with limited to no success and then had one year as an assistant in the NBA on a losing team and became a top candidate for an NBA head coaching job?

Guys get hired with ZERO experience or years and years of losing records. Soooo yea

Yeah I'm still pissed that somehow you trade Jrue, don't get any young players and are somehow in a worse salary cap situation than before but that's for another thread.

Pretty much the only examples are all time great NBA players. That is a thing in the NBA.

I agree I don't get the constant retread thing...but those guys were also assistants and HCs at multiple stops.

Weatherspoon as been a full time coach in the NBA 1 year. 1. Not even the lead assistant. AND...she has coached at much lower level, in a different gender, poorly.

People downvoting but literally there is almost nothing you can point to besides Zion(which is a gift that 30 out of 30 GM’s would make) that Griff has done right since being here besides accumulating picks.

To be fair, Bledsoe was a second team all-nba defense player and 1st team the year before.

It’s not like Griff should have expected him to become less useful than a cardboard cut out of himself.

Otherwise the picks have been the point of all of it.

Pretty crazy to think how we were all talking about the importance of this offseason and the need to win now and contend for the playoffs. Then this shite happens lol. Already enough pressure on how to handle the lonzo / Hart situation and now the need to find Zion's 3rd coach in 3 years. If they screw this up, Zion is good as gone right?

zion was good as gone if we kept wasting years loyal to a losing coach.
