Hayes will get stronger
shite, if Hayes can get 1/2 as strong as Adams, combined with athletic ability and god given talent, he'll be a great player for many years to come, tbh...

They aren’t finished building the roster
Dudes talking about the starting lineup & having no shooters lol

Those stats are in favor of Favors if you're looking at the per 36 numbers.

I hate when people say this. You don’t know nor does anyone else know it’s end game value. I’ve read a few people that think Hampton will be the steal of the draft and best value considering where he was picked. So the pick does have value. Wonder how many on here would have loved to have a Hampton type on this team in AD’s early years to try and develop but never could have because of Dell always trading our assets away.
We already drafted a young PG. we wouldn’t have drafted Hampton had we kept the pick. And yes we don’t know how good that pick will be, but we know what Adams can do. Uncertainty does come into play when accessing value.

If they sign Adams at $12mil a year next offseason, will you shut up?
It doesn’t make this trade any better. Especially if you can get Adams at that price next season.
And me shut up, that’s rich coming from someone with nearly a quarter million posts. Mostly offering snarky dumb arse hot takes like being aggressively ignorant in being unable to wrap your head around the game of basketball enough to see how Jrue could fit next to defensively deficient point guards

There's no denying that. Also, Favors has 3 years left on his deal, Adams 1. See, I can play this game too
True which makes giving up a first not look good. And after next year and seeing the contracts thrown out this year in a ‘bad’ fa market where teams didn’t have much space supposedly. I suspect Adam’s will get anywhere between 17- 20 a year next year.

Hayes still looks like he’s 220 from the recent pictures I’ve seen him in. It looks like it’s going to require a full offseason program with the trainers for him to get bigger. Right now, I can’t imagine him playing more than 10-15mpg if we’re competing. And that’s generous.

Pels winning percentage last season was .417.
I will take bets from all comers that they improve that this season in $50.00 lots.
Bledsoe and Adams will show this team how to win basketball games.
these two are a clear upgrade from holiday and favors and griff got paid to do it. I cannot wait to see some intensity and swagger and for ingram and zion to see how much fun it is to impose your will on the court.

He looked slightly bigger to me from last year... maybe 10-12 lbs heavier

I honestly don't know why so many people are shitting on a deal where we lost a meaningless Denver 2023 first round pick. It's a nice Saturday morning mid 60's sunny breezy, go enjoy it.

I think the simple fact of getting rid of Gentry will improve this.

I know all of which yiu said. Other posters act like that was a throw away pick or something. We don’t need Hampton, was just using it as an example if he blows up and becomes something.. But maybe we could put to use the Denver first that we would have had in a few years. We’d have a better idea of what NAW, Hayes, Kira etc are by then. And no doubt that would have been a better draft seeing as this was viewed as one of the worse in recent memory....

Why are we obsessing over a late first round pick and 34 year old George Hill?????? George Hill ain’t play one minute yet for the Pels and yall talking about his trade value. From the moment Kira was drafted (and probably before), George Hill was gone. They Pels were never keen on keeping him. Damn it’s been two days since the draft, y’all don’t think contenders have been calling to get George Hill?? You don’t think Griff has been hearing the offers?? Wesley Matthews, who played more than Hill on the same team just got 1 year 3 mil. And y’all think Hill, who’s making three times that, gonna garner a first round pick? And if it does its gonna be lottery protected and late in the first round. Stop comparing us to the Thunder. Two organizations in two totally different paths. The Thunder are looking to lose in hopes of finding a star. The Pels already have their young starsThe Pels still have a war chest filled with picks. A bunch of late first round picks don’t move the needle for us. George Hill doesn’t move the needle for us. We saw Boston this year with three first. They literally didn’t even want them. And no one else wanted them!!!! You say the Pels won’t be ready to contend for another 3-4 years. Before we can contend we have to make the playoffs! You don’t go from losing a ton of games to being a contender. This ain’t 2k. The Pels gave up Jrue Holiday and Darius Miller to get Steve Adams, Eric Bledsoe, and first round picks. The Pels have gotten better without giving up anything. I don’t understand why are you caught up with an irrelevant first round pick and George Hill.

George Hill was salary ballast in a holiday/Bledsoe/Adams trade.
He may have something left but he was putrid in MIL and out of their plans

but that isn’t worth 27 million.
People need to realize Adams is a expiring contract. That 27 million literally means nothing unless we re sign him at that much.

He has amazing genes from his parents. So I won’t be surprised if he does fill up his size.
