Shooters get PAID.

I don’t want to do it but JJ is severely underpaid in this market, his trade value could be obscene.

From what I understand, we can't aggregate Bledsoe or Hill's salary in a deal until December.

Nah, Shamit was jumping the gun when he was saying this earlier this week, I tried to point that out...

If the deal isn’t done, then you don’t have to worry about that stuff.

My guess is Melli and Miller are dealt to make this work in some capacity. Hill flipped to a third team.

kind of feel like we need Melli and Hill now

JJ probably could have gotten 20 mil per fairly easily when he signed with us

Thanks for the solid, Mr Redick

And now he's reunited with his coach BFF SVG

Funny how things turn out

Lucky we got two of the best perimeter shooters in Hill and Redick. Honorable mention to Melli if he stays consistent.

Can you imagine dealing with screens against Zion and Adams? You would need an ice bath after that

We can replace Melli with Ilyasova in my opinion. I think Hill has to be moved because of salary but definitely want to keep him

Crowder, Harkless, Roberson, not sure what else is there.

Millsap also out there still.

Agreed, and I think that trade still doesn’t work financially. Adams and Bledsoe combine for 27.5+16.8=44.3 coming in and Jrue, Miller, and Melli combine for 25.3+7+3.8=36.1 going out. That doesn’t come close to us sending out enough.

Even routing Bledsoe and Miller to OKC doesn’t work. We send out Jrue and Miller for 25.3+7=32.3 and get back Adams and Hill for 27.5+9.5=37. Closer, but you still have to include Melli. And if a year of Adams at $27.5M costs Melli, Bledsoe, a first, and 2 seconds...that is not good value.

The financials without a meaningful additional team are tricky and don’t seem to work out well for us.

Darius Miller is like a new signing

Ay? Ay?

Crowder would be a fantastic get with the full MLE

We could expand the trade further and bring in a wing that route since we have to send out more salary anyway.

Bucks-holiday
Nuggets-hampton
Thunder-lonzo, Miller, hayes plus picks
Boston-jj, hill plus pels picks from bucks
Pels-adams, Bledsoe, brown

It works money wise but won't happeqn

We don’t have to make an even trade. We have cap space to make it uneven.

What Teddy is trying to say is that it doesn’t have to be an apples to apples trade we can “go over the cap” to make it work I think. I think that is why the Ingram signing hasn’t been announced yet. That $6m helps.

Every single player on that list is a positive asset. I believe we need to send out in the ballpark of $27.5M to get back Adams. There is just no way we send out a first, 2 seconds, and multiple positive asset players for a year of Adams at $27.5M. I think there will almost certainly need to be another team significantly involved

I don’t understand why we are giving up a first? Thunder have been trying to trade him a few years now with no takers because of that contract. I like Adams as a player and would want him on our team but at 27 million in a league that no longer values centers? He’s def a negative asset. We have to be getting a better first rounder in return than the Nuggets one we sending out or this makes no sense.

We can have cap space. Remove Miller and we have $7-8M in space. There’s tons of games you can play to make cap space or be over it.
