I totally agree with Bronc, Christian Wood would have been a way better acquisition.
Griff and Traj asleep at the wheel, again. When will they learn

I’m amazed people are so fired up to argue this much at 3 am.

what Zion will ultimately need is a player that can stretch the floor, protect the rim, and rebound.
Adams is a very good defender and one of the best offensive rebounders in the game. As for “stretching the floor.” That doesn’t always mean “standing on the 3 point line.” Adams creates space by setting incredible screens and by intelligently reading the defense and getting to right spot.

I just hope the refs don't all the sudden start calling Adams for defensive 3. That man stays in the lane.

I am disappointed.........
in this thread. I wake up and see a 10 page trade thread and start going through it. And then I get to the end and figure out it was 7 pages of people bitching back and forth while the details haven’t even all come out.
Be better, sons.

I’m not going to judge this trade until we know the details. Because right now this seems like a bad trade.
I’m wondering if we send Bledsoe to a third team for assets, some bad contract goes to OKC, and we gave up the picks for OKC to take on the bad contract instead of us (while we get Adams).
Because one year of Adams at $27.5M is not worth a first and two seconds and possibly Bledsoe who is an asset. That would be a bad deal. Adams is not an asset.
But people all over judged the Jrue trade as a big loss for us initially and now those same folks say the Bucks overpaid.
So here’s an interesting one that works:

Okay how is Steven Adams an upgrade over Favors? Seems like it’s the same “veteran leadership” type of selling point but with less shooting ability. He plays solid defense like Favors but he can’t shot so he doesn’t space the floor. I don’t get it.

Steven Adams is a tough mother fricker and I for one am excited to have him on the Pelicans.

I just don’t wanna hear ppl complaining when Lonzo takes about 10 3’s a game with a starting lineup of Ball, Bledsoe, BI, Zion, and Stephen Adams.

Would this work...
Pels get Adams and Bledsoe
Bucks get Jrue, Melli, and Baynes in S&T
OKC gets Miller, Wilson, picks
Suns get Hill and DiVincenzo
Not sure if OKC is getting enough

Why would we do all that? I think the bulk of the trade is done and that’s adding a lot more in.

Adams is a lynchpin of a new culture of accountability. He's the alpha that Griffin wanted Jrue to be last year.
The most important thing for us to do is to develop our young talent, and leadership and heart were big deficiencies last season.
Again, developing Zion, BI, et al is what matters.

I just like to add that Adams can act finish around the rim...
Favors seemed to have an uncanny ability to miss point blank shots.

I fricking love Steven Adams. Love him
He is tough as nails, rebounds, plays defense, is extremely vocal, high character, and is an absolute dog.
Everything we have been missing. He’s not only a good player, but he’s what we need as a culture addition.
I’m not commenting on the trade because I don’t know the deets.
But I’m happy as hell to get Adams on this team. Big fan of his.
