He also had a gruesome injury that may just be taking awhile.. It took Paul George awhile to look how he does now after his injury.. Its a risk worth taking IMO, and could be one of the few moves possible that could convince AD to stay.

2 years left (2nd year is a PO)
2019/20 32.7MM
2020/21 34.2MM
i honestly thought it was worse/longer...

They were discussing it on NBA TV and how the pieces they have dont fit together, and that theres rumblings around the league that Ainge is looking to love someone for pieces that fit better..
Just my best guess is it would be Hayward and/or Rozier as they have slowly been seeing their roles cut.

What's so unrealistic with that proposal?
The money that Hayward is owed?

Hayward is just coming back from a bad injury

Haywards contract is horrible but at his best he's a franchise guy. He and Wall would be the best guys on the block we could aim for

I feel like the Cousins, Holiday, and Mirotic were good trades. We just had extremely bad luck with injuries.

Terrible Dell moves
1. Asik contract
2. Solo contract
3. Trading a 1st for Bayless
Outside of that he's been a good GM
Even better than good

I thought about the possibility of getting Hayward about a month ago. Looked into George's injury like you did and i'm a bit concerned Hayward isn't going to get a full recovery to his old self. Not all injuries are the same, but it doesn't look good for Hayward right now.
It could just be more than the injury that's holding him back. I mean he is shooting a dreadful percentage from 3, 31%. He's shot over 40% 3 times in his career, and is a career 36% 3 point shooter.
I think he didn't come back fully and just hasn't fully accepted his new role on this team, I hope.

Hes said he doesnt feel 100% yet, so he could just need more time...
It's the type of homerun swing we need to make to try and keep AD, assuming of course we cant land Beal or another star.

I really feel in your posted deal we wouldn’t be overextending ourselves that much. I feel it is an optimistic deal in our favor because I wouldn’t worry about the money and would like to be stuck with their Brown/Hayward/Tatum problem. The Cousins and Mirotic trades suprised me; therefore I do not think the proposal is absolutely crazy. The money at this point only matters for flexibility and we might as well not worry about that when trying to keep AD. Regardless if Hayward never got back to what he was he, I still expect him to progress back closer to it and improve.
Rozier/Payton
Holiday
Hayward
Davis
Randle
Is strong imo
