re: Sounds more and more like Pels are committed to Gordon, at least for now.

Where is this information coming from?
Well, considering the tweets are ended with "42". I'd guess they're coming from his brain

If he is still on the team at the start of the season I'm sure he'll be 'rested' every other game to keep his value high prior to the trade deadline.

The real info in the refused inquiries is . . . there are inquiries. This was not true a few months, a knee, and an ankle ago. - 42
What does this mean, in English?
Posted on 7/1/13 at 7:22 pm to GynoSandberg
It means people are actually interested in trying to trade for Eric Gordon, when they weren't a few months back.

Last year was rehab year. This year is time for him to earn his contract and show why he should be here.

They did it last year.

The Pelicans have shut down some inquiries for Eric Gordon. Are they committed to him? Deal in place? Waiting for increased value? - 42
Fact or opinion?

He's reporting it as FACT that they've shut down the inquiries. Whether you choose to believe him or not is another issue.

It makes sense to shut down the rumor mill now that Gordon has finally shown to be healthy/excited.
With his attitude problems in the past, if he is in the plans, they need to at least keep quiet and keep him involved.

Saying he's shown to be healthy is a stretch at this point. Let's see him make it through half a season first. Hell, I'd settle for a month at this point.
As far as his attitude problems I think it would be karma to ship him off now the team has actually assembled a solid core. I'm sure his heart is still in Phoenix, his MCL in Detroit, and his pancreas in Andorra.

Pretty sure Deng has proven more than Gordon and we still got Rivers to play backup PG/SG
Deng can rebound, guard 3s, block some shots and hit 2s and 3s pretty reliably. He is a jack of all trades in a sense and 6'9". Jrue and Tyreke are enough penetration imo. If we signed and traded for Deng, we'd have a starting four of 6'4", 6'6", 6'9",and 6'11" all capable of doing work on the perimeter. That's a definite positive.
Just saying, i'd love Deng or as close as possible to him. Could still play some AD at 5 with ryno at 4 or 3. With tyreke at 3 and ego at 2, we'd be small ball. Not sure they have the efficiency to pull that off.
