Really good stuff in the post game interview.

BI and CJ both sounding like they are developing a nice friendship, and really leaned into the role of being ambassadors of New Orleans there.

Also interesting to hear Jen Hale, who has basically been here forever, call this team the best locker room and group of high character guys she’s seen in ten years.

I ain’t lying. Something special brewing. CJ is the glue that this team needed. If Zion doesn’t want to be a part of this, he’s fricking nuts. We could be a top 5 team in the West next year.

CJ is awesome, clearly leading but also keeping BI in the leadership spotlight in the post game interview.

Let’s not go crazy lol(but hope you’re right) but that was the first time I can recall BI really went out of his way to frame his answer in a way where he wanted to sound like he was representing New Orleans and trying to rep it a positive way.

I think this whole situation with Zion and the media hate/speculation has really helped bring the team together and guys like Bi lean into their leadership roles

CJ is going to find out soon if you love this city and you’re a high quality guy that brings success, this city will forever love you. He could be our Drew Brees.

love to hear CJ say that he wants BI to be BI and CJ will find his place out there. BI tends to get more timid when good players join him (when Zion came back from injury, CJ getting traded here). CJ being a vet is more comfortable playing off others and not necessarily being the focal point.

the next few weeks should be fun

CJ McCollum has 32 points tonight.

In his last five games, he has 159. That's tied for the 4th-most he's ever had in a 5-game span.

In his last three games, he has 100. That's the 4th-most he's ever had in a 3-game span.

The only players in Pelicans/Hornets history to record 30+ points in three consecutive games:

Anthony Davis (10x)
David West
Zion Williamson
CJ McCollum

I know we hate him now, but it's easy to forget how much of a freak a healthy AD was.

Best individual and team defense I’ve seen the Pels play. Keep that up and they have something cooking.

What's lost in this is naji playing solid minutes can mitigate the loss of hart.

Naji was excellent on the Defensive end and was hustling his arse off. That’s the Naji I want. Oh, and Jaxsons “Give me that shite” on the Booker block was gold.

Yeah this Naji resembled the Naji from last year. He was playing really hard, hustled and played great D and didn't force it on the offensive end. I admit I was fed
up with his street ball hero ball and I hope he will play like last night from now on.

Looks like Herb hit the rookie wall on the offensive end but he is still stellar on the defensive end.

I really enjoy watching this team even though the record is what it is.
