Maybe I'm crazy but I don't think we're done...yet.

I think anyone who thought we might threaten one of the top seeds has changed their mind but we are still in the hunt for at least the play-in game.

I think our team and several of our starters have lost their confidence. I'm not sure if it's in themselves or in Al's message. Hopefully it's the former a win or two will get the ball rolling in the right direction to right the ship.

The only bright spot if this skid continues is that the FO would almost be forced to fire Gentry and do something to try and bring the people back in. We don't have to win now but we have to at least be trending upward.

The biggest thing I think we need (other than a healthy/fit Zion) is someone who can bring in a winning culture. Last night was a blow out but most professional sports games are won and lost on a handful of big plays down the stretch of the game. Teams with a losing culture and a loser's mentality just expect to lose somehow and that's us right now.

It's why I think Thibs is a good hire for the Knicks. What possibilities are out there right now as far as Head Coaches who could come in and change the culture?

We don't even have to talk about all the turnovers. It's been discussed a thousand times and we must do better.

Lonzo didn't have a good game but at least it was better than against the Jazz.

This had to be the worst Zion has looked this year.
I'm still pumped that we have Zion and think he's gonna wreck the league, but I do think someone on the staff should talk to him and address his body language. Even when he isn't meaning to, he just looks lethargic and kind of lazy. It's like he kind of walks around and is just waiting for the chance to turn it on and explode. I think the conditioning thing is real because it does seems that he's pacing himself.

It was like 0230 when the game went off my time so I'm sure I'll remember and put more random thoughts about the game in here, but I'm just curious about what others were thinking?

If we even make the playoffs, I’m not even sure I want to. Who wants to see us lose four games like we did last night. That shite would be devastating for the franchise honestly

I’d rather Portland play the Lakers than us, and I’d rather do what is necessary to get rid of Gentry, and with how we looked the last two games, that should be easy to do if we continue to look this way.

It’s like Gentry teams are incapable of starting decent. It’s always a horrible start to the season, and this restart is no different.

Angry, upset, annoyed, pissed off.

A group of players with this much talent should NO WAY be this crap... a group of professional athletes should never be this lethargic and uninterested in a competition which essentially was created for them to succeed.

It's one game fellas. They came out sluggish and clips shot lights out, whole team.... Let's see how they respond before a complete melt down. And even then remember this is only game 2 of new season. Young team needs some time to gel. Let's not forget team is babying Zion which slows that process down, maybe even past this 8 game stretch...We've all see what they are capable of already

There is no way Gentry is getting fired. Espically now he can claim I couldn't win when management was limiting him.

Sadly we will have a average season next year and barely miss playoffs and maybe then we will fire him

I think the more upsetting game for me was against the Jazz bc it was a game we should have won and would be sitting in decent position at 1-1. We had the game all the way to the end of the forth and let them back in and gave it away. You got to close those games out.

We played horrible against the clippers but they also shot lights out. Not really much you can do there. The amount of turnovers once again was more concerning.

I agree the Jazz game was a huge miss. It was easily winnable and would of allowed us to not worry about the clippers game

We’re done as long as Uncle Al is still the head coach

Last night was about star players. The Clippers big two destroyed the Pelicans. Leonard and George showed up. Holiday, Williamson and Ingram combined for 25. Leonard had 24 and George had 28. Sometimes its just about the talent. Blaming this on the coach is lazy. Clippers are a bad match up and when your stars play below average, you can't scheme out wins..

Do you think someone on the Bulls had to talk to Jordan? Do you think someone in the Lakers had to talk to Kobe? Do you think LeBron wasn’t fit and ready to compete when he left high school?
The really great ones are self motivated. They may be arrogant, cocky, and full of themselves; but they don’t need a push of a talk.

It's weird how this fanbase has become eternal optimists when time and time again this franchise does nothing other than take a very public giant dump.

Definitely stings but when we looked at the schedule we knew these first two were the hardest 2. We have 6 games against even or inferior opponents coming. Hard to say we’re going 6-0 or 5-1 after what we’ve seen from this team the past couple games but there’s an opportunity, if we can get our head out of our arse, to keep ourselves in the mix. This team is to fun to watch when they’re playing well to completely give up on

I feel fine. Like, seriously.

This season was about the young-uns getting some experience and growing together. We got fantastic improvement in BI, we were getting great improvement in Lonzo before the shutdown, and we've seen improvement from Hayes, NAW, Hart, and Frank -- some more, some less -- but all of those guys have been getting better.

Oh, and Zion.

We had long debates before the season started about whether we would make the playoffs or not. The general consensus was that we had a good shot, but it wasn't really important.

I still feel the same way. Greatness only comes through trials and setbacks. We played a 50-50 game and lost when our final shot rattled out, and then we played a team that was a lot better than us and lost big.

We've still got a really good chance to make the playoffs, and I want to do that, but I just want to see Lonzo get his mojo back and see the team continue to get better.
