What does playing in AAU have to do with anything?

Okay, try to keep up Young Sandbum. He went into this past season as the #1 prospect based entirely on his pre-college days, when he was playing against considerably younger kids. When he got to college, he did not keep growing as a player, because he was a grown man already. Thus, he did not perform nearly as expected.

He dominated younger talent then got to college and left a lot to be desired. That's why it matters to some. And GMs hate being lied to. He's come clean though.

I do think, from the little I've seen, that he can be a scorer in the pros.

But he's not the elite level athlete Barnes is.

I want The SF from Croatia.

He is better than Porter and Muhommed IMO.

Seen Dario play a lot huh?

I only want him because he sounds like a Super Mario villian.

The age thing is kinda strange, but it really doesn't matter now. If you watched his games you saw his scoring ability.

I just hope we don't get Nerlens. The puns will be UNBEARABLE. Just imagine him being here with Bob Licht still on the mic.

I think you just have to ignore any pre-conception about him prior to college, because it was manipulated and intentionally misleading. The lying part about it doesn't really bother me much at all. I just think his talent and abilities got greatly overstated and there is still some residual bias working in his favor.

Now, if you want to compare strictly college numbers, he is not a #1 overall grade, and the entire point I was making was about why he fell from that perch.

His stats drop off a cliff when trying to score off the dribble, and he can't go right at all. It probably relegates him to the 3. There's a reason why he's fallen. But he does have potential.

I am not saying otherwise. I'm just saying his potential was greatly overstated prior to this season due to the age thing.

I mean, he was PAC 12 Frosh of the Year? All PAC 12?

Any thought up tempo freshman guards playing in Howland's slow, half court offense?

In 1 year at UCLA:

Jrue Holiday - 9/4
Westbrook- 13/4

While a slow half court guy like Love thrived:

18/11

shabazz reminds me of Drummond last year. Loved him going in, hated him at the end, becomes promising NBA player. Better NBA game than collge

Doesnt mean going big cant work, just that finding big guys who can do all the things they have to do in the modern game (defend pnr out to the 3, hit jumpers for spacing, pass out of double teams, etc) is difficul

Totally understand, corndeaux. But I think that Davis fits the bill, and Len may be the same.

I kind of like the idea of Davis at the 4 and Len at the 5. With, of course, Ryno coming off the bench to score. Plus Smiht and Lopez in the rotation. Now we may not keep all those guys, but it ain't bad.

Yeah. I like Len too and would be happy if they draft him.

My .02¢ more just taking exception to the "successful teams are the ones w/ big frontcourts"
