Thinking about 39(or a little earlier if pels move up) because 57 doesnt matter much and these are probably best by position

PG:

Carsen Edwards
Ty Jerome(if he falls)
Tremont Waters
Shamorie Ponds
Jalen Hands

SG:

Lugentz Dort
Josh Obiesie
Zach Norvell
Aubrey Dawkins
Tyus Battle
Kyle Guy

SF(a ton here but some play SG or PF too):

Admiral Schoefeld
Jalen Mcdaniels
Mattisee Thybulle
Chuma Okeke
Louis King
Dylan Windler
Kris Wilkes
Darius Bazley
Jalen Hoard

PF:
Luka Saminic
Naz Reid
Dedric Lawson
Eric Paschall
Simi Shittu
Killian Tillie

C:

Charles Bassey
Jontay Porter
Tacko Fall
Donta Hall

A ton of interesting guys in the late 1st and into the 2nd round

Nice post.

Agree that their are several players that I feel could help our team in the second round.

Would be very pleased with about half of your list.

Hoping for Tremont Waters and Kyle Guy though.

Forgot kyle

Yeah it's just a list of the guys talked about at each position so everyone can do a bit of research.

There are a lot of potential role players in this 2nd round compared to some years i think. Youve seen playoff teams even this year give good minutes to guys like the above.

Tremont has a legit fit on this team at a spot we have a need for a back up that can push our current bench for playing time. If anyone was clamoring for Naz then I would wonder about homerism

What's wrong with wanting Naz?

Yes.

I am excited about the potential in the second round.

Our bench needs improvements.

I think Naz could have a Nene type career(but with better stretching ability)

Maybe a brook lopez as his ceiling

Definitely worth a gamble

If somehow someway Luka Samanic is around we should absolutely take him Hell I wouldn’t even be opposed to trading up a few spots if he’s there late 1st round 6’9 1/2 Croatian with great shot for those that don’t know him

Just because of the number of players/picks we may get in an AD trade he was a big possibility in my mind as a draft & stash candidate but it sounds like his stock is on the rise & he'll likely go in the 20's of the first round.

My gut is that we won't have two 2nds - in either scenario (AD trade or keep him)

I think Griffin takes those two 2nds and maybe a future 2nd and/or some cash and gets back into the late 1st and grabs a guy he loves as opposed to waiting around and grabbing two guys he just likes.

Guys I would love to go get

PJ Washington
Bruno Fernando
Grant Williams
Cam Johnson
Chuma Okeke
Dylan Windler

I want Naz Reid if AD traded. If he stays, I would like to get a wing over 6’5 that can shoot.

So Griffin mentioned that exact scenario in his interview with Kaare Johnson a few weeks back. It definitely stood out to me and made me remember it.

You do that not only to get the guy you want, but because you actually want that guy on a guaranteed, longer contract as opposed to the shorter unguaranteed 2nd round deal.

For me that makes most sense with a guy like Okeke. Still young and he is injured so he will probably have to redshirt, but would have been a lottery pick most likely pre injury.

That the kid from Purdue? Is he a projected first or second rounder? He lit it up in the tournament.

Yep, looking that way:

On TV, @Mike_Schmitz just said Luka Samanic has decided not to participate in scrimmages today & has gotten some serious interest in the 1st round -- Zach Milner Tweet

This is what Dell did with Diallo and Frank.

I would prefer to make the two picks, but i would without a doubt move up for Okeke.

Windler, okeke and Luka are the ones I want the most. Luka is listed as a PF but he tested really well so I think he can play the 3. All those guys are really skilled and can stretch the floor which is by far our biggest need

So a different guy did the same thing in different drafts and that means it is not a good tactic?

Poor logic.

Dell was actually moving up for Derrick Whie, and Spurs stole him. Also, what if Dell moves up and takes Brogdon that year instead of Diallo. Then, is it a GREAT tactic that should be done every time?
