I'm so bummed right now.

He has to work with our medical staff now so probably a lock to walk this summer

Not even sure it would be a good idea to resign him now sight unseen on how he will recover from this.

We might have to let him walk..

It's too early to say really
5 months would be a pretty good barometer

Very difficult choices will have to be made.

He will be offerd a max contract by the Pelicans. No doubt about that

Wouldn't leave us cap and then ad leaves. We don't have the luxury of seeing how he recovers.

With our medical staff, he’ll be lucky to be in a wheelchair by summer.

We have to offer him, we have no other move. And he’ll accept bc no other team is going to risk giving him the max coming off of this. I would say it’s like 95% he resigns

It could be a lose lose either way. This is just a nightmare scenario.

I would think he’d sign a long term max with the Pels but there will be team friendly options after 2-3 years in case he can’t come back.

He has zero reason to sign a contract like that. Someone will offer a max that's full length and Pels would have to match it, and they will.
The January success I think sells Boogie on a future here. We're something like 12-4 or 12-5 recently. That'll be enough to sell Boogie to stay.
For what it's worth, I sat behind the Pels bench tonighht for the first time and many people were calling him out positively to support his effort more than any other player (all before the injury, he exited in the Rockets' corner.

In my opinion, this team had 2 main goals coming into this season. In no particular order, they are winning games and locking up Boogie this Summer.
