So Griff is really not going to do anything else?

What a piece of shite ... he burnt assets to open up cap space, which becomes less substantial at noon tomorrow...God I hate this franchise.

I mean we still have Josh Hart to decide on so at the very least there’s still that

No, we are still likely doing something else. We are likely trading with Utah for Bojan or Sacramento for Buddy. There's a good chance that Josh Hart is going out in a sign-and-trade.

You answered your question yourself when you mentioned that it needed to be done by noon. Griff is likely still negotiating with both Utah and Sacramento to see which is going to give us the better deal.

There will be relatively small moves. Maybe Hart. Maybe a guy for part of the mle.

But as for major deals, call it. It’s done.

You have about 14 hours for this to happen.

You have between now and 11am C tomorrow.

Do you think something is going to happen in that time?

Is it your opinion that this is an insufficient amount of time?

As it stands right now, Utah is stuck paying tax that they really don't want to pay, and Sacramento has accumulated a excess of guards, meaning that they really want to deal Buddy.

Seriously, why do you think that one of these deals isn't going to happen?

Funny thing is Charlotte has strong interest in Lauri Markannen…unreal.

Anything CAN happen.

It’s just unlikely to.

I'm curious as to your reasoning. Not doubting it, just curious. What leads you to that conclusion?

Of course I think they aren’t going to happen now. If they were going to they would have.

I’m sure Griffin is trying to make something happen. He just won’t.

I’m not predicting something will happen , but it’s very realistic to believe a deal will still happen . Why make a deal now when you can steal try to get a better deal until the deadline strikes , no reason to believe this won’t go down to the wire until some caves

What takes deals off the table is the team you're talking with getting better offers or no offers meeting their "reserve price". GMs know when these deadlines are, they aren't telling Griff "I have a round of golf scheduled tomorrow morning, it's now or never." And if they had or gave Griff an ask he couldn't accept, a move with Hart would have been made by now.

To me the question is which way is best for Griff to cave? Cut his losses and go the minimal addition direction you've been talking about, or damn the torpedoes and give up more assets than he should have to for a shooter?

I want to say he should cut his losses and keep the powder dry, especially since he already sold off the 2022 draft picks, but adding a shooter with real gravity is such a great fit with Zion it's hard to turn down.

I respect you too much to trash this opinion, but I honestly cannot see Utah paying tax to keep Bojan, who has been widely rumored to be available.

I can much less see Sacramento keeping Buddy after almost trading him to the Lakers and spending this offseason accumulating other guards.

And Sacramento could really use Josh Hart's toughness -- their defense has been worse than ours.

I think that the Buddy deal is more likely. What's holding it up? My guess is that there's a third team involved. I kinda still see Siakam and Schroder moving this offseason, so maybe one of them is involved.

Someone is waiting for Griff to be desperate and cave in.

The only way a deal happens is if he does.

Have you heard even the slightest wiff from a national source of those guys being simply dumped for no asset return?

It’s been 4 days. Nothing.

Maybe something happens. But I do not believe it will.

What makes you think he won't cave is the question.
