True . Gayle blew all her money on Gregory Aymond . Who is that guy that throws parties for Trump in Metairie? Bollinger? The ship man . Get him and the other ship guy Chouest to buy the team? Who knows. I do think this gets settled.

I honestly wouldn't be shocked if one (if not both) NBA expansion teams are announced this summer, to start play in 2025-26.

They wouldn't do it directly AFTER signing a new TV contract.
One would imagine they would do it slightly before.
Unless it will take a few years for both teams to come to fruition, and then they want a year or two of expanded league ratings to show the partners.

I've been reading people attacking Gayle for being cheap for some time now. I have no insider info to form an opinion one way or another on this.
However, recently I was looking at cap space for various NBA teams for 2023-24 on Sportrac. And I see the Pels have the 12th largest player salary in the league at $177million. And I think I've seen we have the second smallest view region, Grizz are last.
I'm trying to reconcile this with the idea Gayle is cheap with 18 teams spending less.

I think NBA ownership has left them both behind… when we were talking about Chouest the Pels were valued at like $300 million… now they’ll be north of $2 billion if they go on the market again
