Two you can do. 3 is where it becomes impossible.

To be fair to Haver of Girlfriend, he has been saying on his podcast that the Pelicans are in love with Scoot for a couple of weeks.

Last thing I will add here, over the last 2 seasons, The Denver Nuggets are 7-14 without Jokic. This is a team that is on the verge of winning the NBA title, and they would have the 1st pick in the draft without their number one.

Our number one has played in 114 games in 4 years

Shamit is finally going to have his dream of the team getting rid of BI come true

If the Pelicans trade for Scoot it is time to move CJ as well.

The two small guards backcourt was already tried with CJ and Dame and both were in their prime together.

I have no objection to moving CJ, probably for the best given his salary and the pelicans future.

I mean in a perfect world I’d love to keep him, but if we’re making a play for #2 to draft a point guard, then his $33M is going to seem awful tough to keep around

ETA: shite, $35.8M. How is CJ the highest paid player?

I’m ok with giving up Zion or BI at this point, with this new CBA, teams have to be more selective with who’s their top 2 guys

I don’t think they can. Very few teams will want the contract.

But if we can I’d move CJ and Jonas too, try to upgrade fit at Center and depth.

I feel like this is inevitable anyway. I’d be surprised if he’s still here next summer unless something crazy happens

I don’t understand everyone saying move CJ, he’s one of the two reliable shooters we have on this team and is a perfect fit with Zion.

Because he accounts for 27% of the league salary cap

Also the team has 3 reliable shooters

ETA: some of y’all crack me up

BI: 39%
CJ: 39%
Trey: 41%

It’s like some of y’all are thinking based on some weird arse bias against BI. Dude could go 30/9/10 and win the mvp and y’all still would be out here “ahh, couldn’t even get double digit rebounds, what a bitch.” Lol. It’s pointless arguing

And yet it’s not hindering us from making any moves whatsoever.

If we are trading for Scoot he doesn’t match out timeline and he will cost too much as well. CJ was out defacto point and that will be Scoots position

I assume you’re talking about Ingram, but you actually have to take the shots to be considered a shooter. He shys away from taking the 3 far to much to say he’s a shooter

One thing to consider is with BI only has 2 years left on his contract. I personally do not want to trade BI but it’s possible that we’re not confident that we can resign him and trying to gauge his trade value.

Scoot is not 3 point shooter at this point giving up B.I. for him would be retarded

It will when we have to pay Herb and Trey, a time during which our position would be less advantageous

He’s already under contract for two more years on a team friendly deal when the cap is expected to explode and will actually pretty much increasing enough to make his deal seem like a 20-25 million deal.

Our timeline is 100% based on Zion, it has nothing to do with other players we add.

They can share the floor with each other with no problem whatsoever. Scoot will also take alot of the load off CJ and keep him from getting burnt out like he was at the end of the year.

If I’m griff CJ is not on the table along with Zion and Trey. Everyone else is tradeable.

BI barely shoots 3s anymore since his first two years here.
