guaranteed deal

This may not be quite what it sounds. Patric Young signed a "guaranteed deal" too, he had about $50k guaranteed. That might be all this is, an "if you get cut in camp you still get paid" deal.

That's true about Young, but the way Erman was talking about Curry tells me otherwise. How he deserves to be on an NBA roster, etc. I think this is a further indication that he will be on the opening night roster.

Seth Curry/Steph curry package deal with KD next year and Lebron.

Erman got into the league by helping guys prove themselves in camps. The way he's been talking Curry and Drew up sounds more like he's talking them up to the league than saying they're going to be Pels.

Fair, but with Curry already being familiar with Gentry's system, do they really let him go elsewhere? I'm leaning heavily towards no.

I'm not saying Curry's going elsewhere, I'm just saying that's not why Erman's talking him up.

I hear what ATL is saying, but I think it'll be a two year deal with a full guarantee in year one and either an option or partial guarantee for year 2. Allows him to grow in our system and be a scoring guard off the bench with a more prominent role (assuming be pans out) starting next season. We would then have early bird rights to make him restricted year 3.

Tyreke would steal the ball, leisurely dribble up the court, run down the clock, and recklessly drive the lane.

I would hope that is all that is guaranteed. He certainly deserves a shot at making the team, but a good SL should not lead to a fully guaranteed deal.

I agree with Noshau. He looms good in SL, but so have many guys who don't belong in the NBA. I think there may be some skewing of perception by the Curry name. He is nowhere near as smooth as Stephen and his release is much slower on his jumper. He also doesn't seem as quick.

We're signing him to be an end of the bench guy not a starter
