Scott Henderson is now the consensus 1st pick in 2023 imo.

Victor Wembanyama has already some worrying injuries.
Moreover, he willn't do Euroleague the next season. He even willn't do Eurocup...It will be impossible to see his level vs the best Europe teams so.

But Victor is still consensus 2nd pick due to his FIBA World Cup U19 and cause he was the best blocker and one of best defenders in France this season.

I hope Victor will be consensus 1st the next year but well...This isn't the case in 2022.

Consensus?

Sorry, but Victor is going first barring a catastrophic injury.

Personally, history says he will not have a long career at his size, but, there is no way a team passes on him with the first pick unless Scoot comes back this season and looks like actual peak Derrick Rose with a three point jumper.

just trying to help out a non english speaker. It is "won't".

Also I think Victor will be 1 but Scoot will be an incredible player

Relevant b/c Lakers going to suck so bad this year - we are going to have to choose between these guys?

It might be based on need. For example if OKC picks 1, I’d think they take Scoot after taking Chet. Maybe that is a poor example, but if both prospects are considered damn near equal to the team that is drafting, need will take precedent.

That's not how that works.

Scoot needs to at least double his 3pt% to challenge for the #1 pick(17% on 2 attempts per this season in the GLeague).

Kinda crazy we could get a Frenchman in Nola. The story writes itself.

Do you know what "consensus" means?

I would take BPA each time.
Victor is the BPA but he has injuries issues like Porzingis , Yao Ming etc
And he doesn't really play as "best prospect since LeBron"

Yao Ming’s biggest problem was that China made him play every international competition possible.

Putting all that wear and tear on a big man destroys their lower body.

Right. Let’s say Victor is the best player available, but most only view Scoot as 5-10% behind him talent wise and less of an injury risk?

And the team drafting needs a guard vs a big in what is mostly a guard and wings league?

I think it’s plausible. I think Victor gets too much hype tbh. His size and skill will make him very good, but he is not the best draft prospect since Lebron.

I’d take 15 or so guys in front of him just in the past 3-5 years.

Apparently Victor will play vs 2 Ignite teams (and vs Scoot Henderson)

It will be interesting to watch.
But Victor was very good during his last match.

Supposedly he just measured 7'4'' without shoes. Starting to get into the too tall zone.

He moves like a guard though. It's the tall guys moving like they're 90 years old because the body parts don't quite fit/work right that don't work out.
