Also can be true that if they draft Scoot and keep this mess going through the whole summer since they dont like any deals they’ve gotten. That would be a pain in the arse. And if Scoot shows out in summer league- could drive his price up.

Haynes is on SXM right now, and Dame is putting Portland’s feet to the fire. Haynes just said this is the first time he gets a sense that Dame is the most serious about leaving and it all hinges on whether Portland keeps the pick or not.

Is it just me or maybe portland doesn’t want to trade the pick and prefers trading Dame? They’re just waiting for him to ask out. Playing chicken. I mean Dame is 33 huge contract, you can restart around scoot and shaedon.

If Dame announces he wants to be traded before the pick- then yeah unless a hail mary the Scoot stuff is done.

Next question - Where does Dame end up if he gets traded?

I’m getting this sense, however their fanbase would be very upset. I think they’re wanting Dame to ask out so they can hit the reset, and if he does I wouldn’t be surprised to see us on his short list of teams he wants to go to.
For reference Ingram, Kira, Temple works salary wise if he were to be interested in us.

Great question. They wont get nearly what they want for him. In a perfect world they want to keep Dame and draft Scoot. Dame is saying hell no. If thats the case, they better pony up for Zion. Cause no one else is knocking on the door.

I don't necessarily think so. They could still do like the Cavs did with Wiggins and Love if Dame really leans on them and they're for some reason still set on appeasing instead of finally trading him. All indications are we only want the high pick for Scoot and it's not like he is diminished once he's announced to the Blazers.

Yeah it’ll kill season tickets- not sure how Jody the owner feels about that. Hes basically Drew Brees down there. I wonder if ownership steps in and forces the trade for Zion.
