Lol you legit said Griff will have botched the post Jrue era (which hasn’t even begun yet) if we don’t turn a trade for a 24th pick in a very low quality draft into a major deal in which we get both a 1st AND a quality player in return. You don’t understand why that’s a ludicrous statement?

Hyperbole my man. Chill. Didnt like the draft. Thought a move would be made that offered more clarity to the balanced construction of the team.

I trust Griff and T. Lang a helluva lot more than Bowers or Demps. Griff drafting prowess has been suspect in the past.

Was hoping that we would make a move to get Vassell once he got to Phoenix selection bc I knew Pop would take him undoubtedly.

In any event, I assume free agency and trading whoever in the guard rut we have will merit what Griff is building for the year.

The botched post Jrue comment was a kneejerk reaction to the impasse that is the Point Guard position. Simply put.

Lonzo is the closest to leaving IMO. Just based on what he did in the bubble. He lost everything in those games

That’s weird and unclear use of hyperbole... That aside, a lot of what you said here makes sense to me, but I don’t understand the point guard point you’re trying to make when we just took a promising one in the lottery

Griff missed an opportunity to trade Bledsoe last night to Minny.
One of Lewis' hidden strengthens is his ability to play without the ball. Holiday is ball dominant. Lonzo will play much better with Lewis than Holiday.
The ability to play without the ball is such an underrated skill.

Maybe you should pay more attention when Langdon said it was Impossible to trade up last night hence there were no trades in the top half of the draft.

Well OkC traded Rubio to Minny on draft night. Guess it was not impossible

They clearly don’t give a frick about a mid 1st pick hence trading the rest of the picks away for future picks. Pay attention fool.

Kira will likely not see many minutes this season.

I'm sorry but i expect the 13th pick in the draft to play this season, could care less about the circumstances being weird the last 2 years.
There hasn't been a drafted player picked 13th or better in many years that has spent any time whatsoever in the g-league. The cutoff is 13 when you look at that. 13 or better gets minutes in the NBA, not the G-league. yes i know there's no g-league, but that's besides the point. We didn't draft Kira for him to sit the bench all season. You expect him to get some minutes and get better.

I’m pretty sure he changed his tune after hearing Langdon’s presser. Dude will have every opportunity to be in the rotation this year. I bet he’ll starts by mid season if his defense translates. SVG is exciting about his ability to play pressure defense. They didn’t seem to hold back their excitement for him. If you watch the presser for Hayes last season, you’ll see a difference between a guy they don’t expect to play vs one that likely will.

That’s my point to Teddy. I thought we were going to get a guy that will play and contribute this season. Right now, he’s like the 7th guard on the team. I don’t see him getting any minutes over Ball, Hill, Bledsoe, JJ, NAW, or Hart. Griff has been saying we want to have a winning culture and compete every year but then trade away all our players and current picks for future picks. We’re just pushing the peanut to eventually land “an all star player” but who says if that player will come or if we stay. I’m just saying history has told us otherwise (Baron Davis, CP3, and AD).

Very very few rookies are going to contribute this year on any remotely decent teams.

I don’t think people appreciate how different this year is.

Rookies usually have 4 months with the team to get acclimated, learn, get bigger and better, practice.

They have 4 weeks.

Maybe you should wait to see what they do in free agency before you prematurely rant.

You’re right. It is a premature rant when talking about the offseason as a whole but I really thought a guy like Saddiq Bey would have been a better pick. He has a lower ceiling but you know what your going to get with him. We need a role player that is a bigger forward who can defend with a consistent 3 pt shot. I think that’s fair to be critical of that pick when you had a chance to get a guy that can come in a contribute right away.

I liked Bey and others but I do believe that Lewis will contribute.
It's the recent trade that returned two point guards that makes the optics cloudy and the draft questionable.
Lonzo becomes the white elephant in the room. I think he and Lewis can play together unlike Lonzo and Jrue. I really like the combo.
If you trade Lonzo how does it impact BI? Griff talks a great game but I want to see actions. This team needs a better balance of players. The next weeks will tell.
Hopefully he signs Harry Giles.

Won't Bledsoe be hard to move with 3 years on his contract?

Yes mainly because he fits on our roster and we might not trade him.

How do you know Minnesota wanted Bledsoe? The fact that you think you can make that statement matter of factly is hilarious

Not really. He's good and his contract isn't outrageous.

The hard guys to move are guys like Horford with absurd contracts that are on the downside of their careers.
