re: Rockets target Anderson. Pelicans have NOT shown interest in Omer Asik.

And there's no way that Asik and Howard work together. They're going to really clog the lane, making things difficult for Harden. Plus you really can't play both of them at the end of games with Howard being a 49% FT shooter and Asik being at 56%. Also, how is Asik as a more perimeter defender? He's going to be in a division with Dirk, Ryno/Davis, and Duncan/Leonard. All guys that can do damage from some distance.

I find it a little curious that we haven't landed a center yet. It could be waiting out value guys or it could be waiting out Houston.

That article about the Rockets not wanting to move Asik is pure posturing.
They know they can't play him and Howard together successfully (spacing nightmare and no offensive variety at all), and they know Asiks salary is higher than they would like it to be for a guy who is now a backup by default. He also has significant trade value.
The rockets just don't want to appear overly eager to make a deal. They are absolutely bluffing.
so there's a good chance they get trade raped!?

Having Asik gives them elite defense and rebounding for a full 48 minutes. You can play them 10-15 minutes together and I doubt it's a complete disaster. Asik has a lot of value and the Rockets aren't close to the tax line. They will keep him until the right deal comes along. Ryan Anderson isn't the right deal.

I'm a supporter of the old smoke and fire theory.

We have reason to believe there's mutual interest and reason to believe there are mutually incompatible desires from each side. I think they flirt over it for a while but Houston will wait to see it fail on the court or in the locker room before giving up as much as Demps is likely asking for.

I agree with that.
I also think we love Ryno too much to do a deal that is anything less than awesome.

I think Dell wants Asik but he wont do any deal that includes moving Anderson. He probably told Houston to call him back when they want Rivers and Mason lol

Dwight Howard could play some 4... And Asik at 5. The only problem is offensively there will be no shooting from them 2 but defensively it could be pretty good.
Imagine Carly Landry being stuck to cover Dwight Howard, we all remember Lamar Odom literally raping him in that playoff series

You're not talking about the sf/pf odom are you? ...the 6-10 lefty that could run, shoot 3's, dribble, drive and create matchup probs for most teams back then?? That odom? Against 6-6 pf landry? Horrible example. Once d12 steps more than 5 feet from the rim, his efficiency is a bad cause his game is a bowl of frozen cricket shite. The one single thing he can do away from the rim is pnr. And thats all up to the ball handler. The on the defensive end......nvmd!

Gotta love when literally is used in a way that is the opposite of its meaning.
I'm using love in the same opposite way.

So Lamar got arrested after the game right? I mean if you rape someone in public, that's what happens right?
RIGHT!?
