So how many doors have you kicked down in you life when you are trying to apologize? That's a funny way of doing it.

I've never had to kick a door down to apologize.

This is the part where you have LITERALLY no idea what was going through his mind. He could have been wanting to apologize.

So he kicks down two doors and says "baby, I'm sorry." She says "it is ok, I'll take you back."

Everything you said is pure speculation. It is thrown out of every court hearing. Facts are what is important.

Kicking in a door and entering makes him a burglar. Burglars deserve to be shot. If he was drunk, then he was simply a drunk burglar, and the shot rule still applies.

No one here is talking about a court hearing. He broke into someone else's apartment and I don't think anyone is arguing that the shooter wasn't well within his rights to shoot him.

Some of y'all are taking this a bit far. No one is trying to say that BDJ was making great decisions, but that doesn't mean he deserved to die over what happened.

why are you guys treating him any better than a burglar and a criminal? that's what he is. if you read about this in the newspaper and it was just some random person you would call him a thug. Just because he was a Pelicans player does not make him any better than a scum criminal. I don't care if you're drunk or not, if you rage to the point where you kick down 2 doors (and we ALL know how that situation have went down if it was really his ex's appartment) than he is a POS. Sure, it is a sad situation, and I hate that it happened, but stop acting like he didn't deserve what he got.

Robber probably, burglar, not so sure on that one. If you are a person that is in a position forced to make that judgement? I can't really blame them for assuming the former even if they were the latter or less.

He was drunk and went to wrong floor - knocked on what he thought was GFs apt and guy inside tells him to go away she's not home

He prolly assumed his GF was cheating on him with that guy - it was late and he was almost certainly drunk. Yells "I'm going to kill you" and Knocks down front door, guy inside retreats to bedroom and process repeats only guy has a gun

It's a very sad event, regardless of the details. Speaking of which, I doubt any of us knows the details, so maybe we should let the facts come out in due course.

You cant defend this guys actions period. If he was that distraught and drunk over his GF, CALL A FRICKIN UBER, GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM, AND GET THE EFF OVER IT.

Dallas has tons of UBERS around the clock. There is ZERO reason why he should be kicking doors down at 3 am in the fricking morning, in DALLAS FREAKING TEXAS, where damn near everyone has heat in their domicile.

I'm very saddened and distraught to hear this

He clearly worked very hard and earned his spot on the team and the respect of many(myself included)

Its an absolute shame
