While I firmly believe this team is fricking cursed, he will still be ready to go to start the year. I just hope he works on his conditioning and strengthening his lower body and core while his wrist heals up. I’m not worried about him missing time.
You honestly are not worried about him missing time? Come on. It is 12 weeks until he is evaluated. At that point, we will get further evaluations in 2 week increments and then 2-4 weeks of conditioning. It may be between Thanksgiving and Christmas before he even comes back to the roster.

That's a good thing? All he can do is conditioning in the next 3 months.

Injuries are never good but if a guy needs conditioning work a hand injury is better than lower body.

at this point I would just jump off the SKC if I were him

Why? He's making millions with no expectations. Seems like a nice gig.

He will need conditioning? Didn't realize he broke his fricking leg. Y'all are insufferable sometimes.

Yes I too am honestly not worried that he has just under 6 months to recover from a wrist injury on his NON shooting hand.

Ok. The whole reason the trade was stupid was because Queen wasn't going to be a huge addition that determined whether the team got to the playoffs next season. We shouldn't act like he is now now that he's hurt.

Willie Green is smiling right now, because he won't have to play him at the beginning of the season and can then grow his minutes gradually, without added pressure.

It might be another 12 weeks if Ochsner is treating him.

I really don't think this will affect his minutes at all. Its a non shooting wrist injury.

NBA off-season, camp, practices, and preseason are very important for a rookie. Queen missing this time could very well derail his season. Look at Devin Carter last year when he had offseason surgery and came back looking like a monster in gleague. Then he could never find his rhythm.in NBA games, got benched for the most part, and derailed his rookie year.

I'm not saying it isn't potentially a negative to him personally. Just don't think it's a huge impact on the Pels season as a whole.

Probably not considering one is a hand injury and one is always a leg injury that literally prevents you from conditioning.

Just trade this franchise in for an NHL franchise.

What a hopeless operation.

Sometimes I wonder if you ever even follow the NBA or just like to talk shite on a message board. Until a player is cleared for contact and eventually 5 on 5, they are working themselves back into basketball shape. He was obviously not is great basketball shape as it is and like any player, will need some time in practice after cleared to work himself back into basketball shape. I would think that would be a minimum of 2 weeks whenever he is cleared.

Yes. Recovery for this type of procedure is 10-12 weeks conservatively. They’re not going to immediately clear him for full activities. So….theyll work him back into full game shape.

And he broke a bone in his hand. He’s going to be behind the 8 ball on working on upper body strength.
