We haven't seen peak Zion yet imagine him shooting 5 3s a game

Better yet imagine him competent with his right hand.

I honestly wonder what his 3% could be right now. He acts like he can shoot it..but would need to be over 40% from 3 to justify passing up 2s. It is kinda crazy

frick that, imagine if he had 3 40% shooters on the court with him and he developed a right hand and an efficient pull up midrange jumper. He would be dominant.

The 2011 Mavs 2.0 . Probably one of the most fun teams to watch.

What's actually scary is how each month he continued to improve. Not even year, just months.

It puts into perspective how much a generational talent he truly is. He has all time great caliber if he puts the amount of effort and time into his body like lebron has done.

To be fair Ball and Ingram are shooting 38.5% from three and even Bled was near 40% until the last few weeks ( now 36.5%). We could use more shooting for sure but starters aren’t terrible from deep.

Bledsoe, naw, and hart combine for nearly 13 attempts a game yet they combine to hit only 34%.

Now imagine if you somehow got that to 38. That's roughly 1.5-2 points a game. Not including you'd want to take more 3s too.

Our problem isn’t hitting 3’s tbh. It’s stuff like colliding into each other on defense and giving up 5 second chance points on plays we had 2 rebounders in the area on. Or fouling a guy weakly for no reason on a layup and changing a 2 pt play into a 3 point play. Or letting the opponent roll the ball all the way up thw court with the clock stopped 5-6 times in the 4th quarter to steal extra possessions when they are down. We do a minimum of 8-12 mind numbingly borderline retarded things a game that prevent us from being up an insurmountable 25-30 vs 10-15 points which is easily blowable if the refs blow a call or 2 and we simply go cold from the field for 4-5 possessions.

This team really isn’t that far away from being great while being average at the 3 ball. These games usually boil down to the little details that young teams have a hard time focusing on.

Hopefully our guys get tired of it and can hone in and focus. When we do that, we are a top 10-12 team in the league that can truly beat anyone on any given night, even as young and oddly constructed as we are.

As shitty as Ingram played last night, we mostly lost due to the 22 second chance points the Nuggets had, half of which were just completely inexcusable.

You actually just proved why 3-pt percentage is overrated, and what's more important is getting open for 3-pt shots.
