our wing depth is definitely concerning. BI is the only true SF on the roster. Hart played majority of his minutes there last year but he's better suited as a 2 guard. Thornwell is better suited as a SG too. No other true SF's on the roster at the moment

Wenyen Gabriel has an infectious personality. Go watch his mic where he was happy to start in the bubble. Dude was geeking out because he got a nose bleed from Lebron James.

Pelicans seems to be picking team favorites (Portland and Okc). You won’t hear any negative about Gabriel. Guy plays with heart and hustle but the fouls he gave AD was suspect.

He is like Portland’s Josh Hart in terms of hustle and personality.

Bringing in Gabriel, Thornwell and Hernangomez on veteran minimum deals should just about do it for the Pelicans heading into the season.

They’ll fill the other two-way spot and go from there.

Of course that other deal you’re waiting on... I still expect that to be done soon.

Even if you bring a true wing, I doubt that guy would get minutes over Hart at SF. We are extremely crowded at guard and Hart is going to play 25+ minutes and most of those minutes will come at the SF position.

I like the Gabriel signing, but wish we would have gotten another SF or even a PG instead of signing Thornwell. Nothing against Thornwell, but Ingram and Hart as your only two SFs is incredibly thin. I guess we will continue to slam point guard duties down NAW's throat until Kira is ready.

Thornwell is about the same size as Hart with a longer wingspan. He played some SF for us last season. He’ll do the same this season as an end of the bench guy.

Trailblazer fans LOVE wenyen. It’s like a Fanclub over there.

Well here we are.

I’m going to say it. I’m a bit disappointed with this roster depth. The SF depth is ridiculous and really should have been addressed.

Top 8-9 is a playoff roster. After that it gets really sketch.

They did seem to go after high energy, defensive fan favorites. It’s risky.

Let’s go. Time to have some fun.

This board seems to be very concerned about the SF situation of our roster. Just a reminder that we have a SF who was the MIP and an all-star last year. We are looking GREAT compared to the Hornicans teams of the past, sons.

Gabriel is 6’9 and good at defense. Him and BI need to be on the meal plan though

Griffin doing a solid job of filling out the roster. We can only offer minimum contracts to avoid the luxury tax, so nice job getting young talent with potential and room to grow.

I don’t understand the huge obsession people have with a defensive SF. They want someone to guard LeBron, Kawhi, Durant, etc...

You know who guards those guys effectively? No one

And, if you do have a player that can somewhat defend those guys, the other team is just going to put you in situations where you’ll have to switch and they’ll take advantage of the person who switches onto them.

I think we’ll be able to create decent team defense with a different coaching style, Adams, Bledsoe, and Ball. Zion also has some room to grow on the defensive side of the ball.

Your going to like Gabriel. Close behind Adams signing, There is a reason Griff signed him for 2+
