Solid detective work by McNamara, emailing Saric's agent.

At least now we don't have to worry about the Pels taking him.

He needs to follow his own advice and realize that it ain't over until the paperwork is filed and that the agent is just "doing his job". There didn't seem to be anything there that was more definitive than anything else that has been said in the past.

I think this is more definitive. The agent is Croatian. I think he meant made, not make . . . a simple mistake to make by a non-native speaker in a quick email, and a common one.

If so, that is more definitive. It's a bit of licence-taking on my part there, admittedly.

Time will tell, as in all cases.

You mean spirit, get it straight.

It's really petty pointing out a correct, early story while ignoring the correct later ones, like the one about Pelicans.

Couldn't the agent be telling everyone that? Sounds like the same thing said yesterday

Yep. Gayle made it known that Spirit was a favorite of hers shortly after they bought the team.

Previously, it was reported leaning. This seems definitive and is presented in black and white.

Don't let these facts stop those of you who like taking potshots based on stuff you read wrong from continuing the ninnified barrage.

OR

"Lean" didn't get the desired result of a promise so the opportunity came along to put "made decision" with a media outlet Demps was sure to see.

It ain't over until they file the paperwork correct? Or could they even withdraw the withdrawl as long as it's before the 17th? I really see no reason why this should change the stance that MM was preaching in his article that this is "agents being agents".

It comes full circle

Market huge Saric article, guaranteeing Pels draft him. Enhance readership.

Attempt to be the first to "break" that Saric will stay, hope for a citation in chad ford article.

That actually makes the most sense but I don't think that what's happening here. McNamara's twitter feed all last night besides the Spurs/Heat game was about his agent's just playing and now because he got a personal response he believes the agent? I think he was swayed by getting a personal response. Most reporter source networks are full of agents, so he may be buying in just to cultivate a source. Either that or he's being naively wowed by an agent replying to him.

Yeah, I'm thinning the more seasoned guys probably got the same response and just took it as peacocking by the agent

I'll admit. I like Saric and I was all for drafting him.

But this makes no sense. This is a weak draft class and he will go much higher this year than next year. It also puts him a year back in terms of NBA development. I just don't see why he would do this.
