I'm resorting to telling myself this after tonight. I know they were up by 1 after the first quarter, but it was really a shite performance the entire game. They just looked lethargic from the tip off to me.
But like mkeentoosh and others have said, we're playing the best team in the NBA. They'll make a lot of teams look bad. We essentially lost by 6 and had a chance. That's all I ask.

but he’s kind of point guard dependent.
His career high ppg was pre-CP3
He just can't take 15 shots/game with a ball-dominant pg and primary scorer like Booker

I don’t know. It was tied or one possession when he came out so it definitely didn’t help
He made 1 shot.
Nance had a better +/-. Sitting Jval who made 1 shot and got a owned by Ayton was maybe reason #84 why we lost this game.

Feels like we’re going to be forced to go after a true defensive big. Our group isn’t good enough as is. Tonight was really eye opening.
If almost say long term this is the biggest need

I’m not sure if we will have an answer for their bigs. JV is too slow and Nance is too short. When Phoenix wanted to attack our bigs, they exploited the match up the majority of the time.

He and McGee accounted for nearly 45pts. I think Ayton is amazing but those two doing that isn't normal.
And if they do, well we have no chance.

defensive big and real point guard
GOD Griffin fricked up so badly by either not picking Garland at 4 or dealing 4 for Myles Turner

No doubt
Their owner is cheap
If they choose to lose Ayton, Jval would be about as good of a center return they could get with a sign and trade.

What fricking sucks is the Suns shot 15% from 3 and won

They are the number 1 seed in the entire NBA for a reason.

I'm not a bettor... I don't do much with gambling... I hope that McCollum 3 at the buzzer didn't hurt any of our Peli-friends any more than CP3 burying us for a 2nd time in this series already did

People racking their brains to figure out what to do with the CP3 pick and roll, for no reason. He's going straight to the Hall Of Fame for running that exact same play since 2005.
The last time he played a playoff game in the SKC, he was spinning Bynum and Gasol in circles running that same play, in the exact same spot.
Our problem is he isn't missing right now, and he has a center with great touch around the rim when he dumps the ball off.

Myles Turner
The idea of Myles turner is better than actual Myles Turner. He’s good a blocking shots… that’s about it

This is a game where having Zion would have been huge. We desperately needed someone to punish them down low. Jonas just can't do it consistently.

Phoenix has length and when jv gets it down low. He gets abused without a call.
The other issue when wings can help defend and makes him turn it over

He's a decent free throw shooter and can knock down an occasional 3. Not to mention he's stuck playing in the black hole of Indy, no telling how good he could be on a team with actual talent around him.
At worst, he's a great matchup piece off the bench.
