The issue is his defense on the pick-n-roll. He never steps out to defend the ball...he just backs up and let CP shoot practice shots and hopes he misses.

That would have been better than letting Nance guard him 1 on 1 repeatedly and letting Paul do whatever he wants. All day I'll take a CP3 3 point attempt over a midrange or assist

He gave us us nothing, was a huge negative, and getting abused in the CP3 pick and roll.

Nance shot worse and didn’t do anything to stop the pick and roll after he came in.

I really just want to punch somebody. I took 10 mg of melatonin so it needs to happen quickly. Maybe I’ll go see which baws in the lobby are wearing orange.

If anything, this gives Willie another look at what Monty wants to do to close out a close game moving forward. Idk if this means anything or if I'm just confidently drunk, but I'm gonna run with it.

If we didn't win this game it's basically the series.

Probably a 90-95% shot we're done now

They went 4/26 from 3pt... and still won.

I mean, better than the 100% before game 2. Anything after making the playoffs is lagniappe to me. This experience is invaluable, not only for the rookies, but for BI as well.

It's not in Lance's job description to have to guard guard Paul 1 on 1 every defensive play. I don't blame him at all.

BI was rolling, then Jose kept us in it. I thought Willie waited too long to bring BI back in.
CJ sucked in the 4th when we needed him, but that happens.
Too many newbs thought the Pelicans would cakewalk this, they haven't watched either of these teams.
Pels still have a chance but must value the ball and make FT's.

If Willie didn’t know he was going to run the pick in roll with CP3 the 4th he must be on serious drugs. He plan with him for fricks sake.

I think the strategy to play Paul right isn’t a good one. You have to play the law of averages and force CP3 to beat you from deep. Can’t let him
Get to his spots in the pick and roll. He might beat you in one game like he did in game 1 but I don’t see Paul shooting that good from deep all series long.

Where are you getting these numbers for?

If they are gonna need Ayton and JV to score 45+ to win 2 more games, I think we have a much greater shot at that.

I never thought we would win this series either way tho
