Anyone want to laugh at me now for my statement early in the season, when y'all all had a good chuckle at my saying that his ceiling was Giannis with a better shot?

Playing the 4 has definitely unlocked a confidence and competence in Jax that was sorely needed, and carried over to him playing the 5 in spurts as well

Willie benching him was the best best thing that's ever happened to him. He didn't give him a single minute for like 12 games in a row. Since the 12/26 game vs OKC, he's gotten consistent minutes and he's been a different player. He was playing good even as the 5, just not this good.

Jaxson either doesnt want to go or wants to show out and get traded more than any player ever.

I like Stephen Silas as a coach, that said, he often looks like crackhead that snuck into the stadium and stole someone else’s clothes and is just pacing the sidelines as the high is still peaking and waning,

I tried to parlay 16pts/9reb for him tonight. Payout was +450

Wouldn’t take my bet though.

My post on 9/18 that resulted in y'all all laughing at me:

quote:

I want Hayes to develop an outside shot, because that would absolutely be huge for his development.

But even more than that, I want him to get a real handle. That's something that we saw just a bit of at the end of last year. I want to see lots of Jaxson getting the ball at the 3-pt line, taking one power dribble, and then postering some poor sap.

The real ceiling for Jaxson Hayes is Giannis, but with a better outside shot. Jaxson is that physically gifted -- he simply hasn't played enough basketball, and he needs to develop his body. This is why, when he was drafted, the analytics had him as the #4 player in the draft: the potential was always there. If Jaxson is putting in the work this summer, then look out, because the NBA will definitely be sucking his d***.

All my concerns about Jaxson have been about his mental makeup and attitude. If that's right, then he'll be an All-Star.

I love NAW, but his ceiling is a lot lower than Jaxson's.

Gary is a better player right now, and we're trying to win a game.

I walked away from the recent Minnesota game impressed with Hayes. It was my first in person game of the year and seeing him next to Towns, his physical development from last year is undeniable.

If he sits the rest of the way he will be averaging 17 pts and 8.5 rbs over his last 4 games. Hayes really does has something cooking.

The point Zion offense with Hayes and JV on the court will be a size problem for everyone else in the NBA.
