Ok I'm at the end of the 3rd now and this election is starting to hurt.

Well that’s good, looked bad at first

Would love to have Herb back for Denver on Sunday, but with the Spurs on Friday and Pistons on Wednesday, it may be best to give him a break until next Friday's game against the Suns. That should still be a 2-1 or 3-0 stretch without him, especially if we get BI/CJ back.

Its crazy to me that this team will probably never fully play extended minutes together and it wont matter much. Just keep swapping guys in an out.

Feel like those days are mostly over in the nba.
With a few exceptions it seems like just about every team has at least one if not two or three rotation players out most nights.

Just finished watching. Very, very few players are even capable of what Zion did to close out that game. To win big, you have to have that guy. Zion proved tonight he can be that guy. BI and CJ didn’t play. Holy crap, I will take it!

Yeah, I've been shouting at the clouds about it for the last few years but I unfortunately think you are correct. I really don't think it's necessary or beneficial, but my opinion's certainly not going to change it. It seems to be commonplace and expected now, which is unfortunate for the fans and the sport, but....watcha gonna do.

Don't really feel like starting a new thread, so just putting a couple of interesting stats I found:
- Pels are 1st in the NBA shot attempts from 0-3 feet - Not surprising
- Pels are 1st in the NBA in assist rate on 3pt shots -I guess that could be kinda good/kinda bad. May signify good passing to get open looks. Also could mean we're lacking in 3s off the dribble and only shooting C&S 3s, which also explains why we're 27th in 3pt attempts, though have been shooting a lot more the last 10 games or so
- Pels have the most dunks in the NBA, as well as the highest % of FGs that are dunks, as well as the 2nd most layups, though that does go hand in hand with the 1st stat about having the most shots inside 3 feet
- We're not taking advantage of corner 3s at all. We're 27th in the league at % of 3s coming from the corner and also 29th in the NBA at 3pt % on those corner 3s

I know that corner 3s are incredibly efficient shots, but I wonder exactly how much that's negated by transition defense off of missed 3s. If the shot bounces out, then the opponent has a fast-break opportunity, and the shooter in the corner is often behind the play.

quote:Admittedly I can't post data on this, especially specific to corner 3s, but I know Bob Voulgaris used to call this out a lot when he was nonstop tweeting on NBA, that people always think or just wonder if missing 3s gets teams out on the break going the other way quicker, and he always said the data never backed that up. That's actually surprising as I'd think the other way as well.
