Lakers have 4 offensive rebounds the entire game
Yeah and Jonas just watched vanderbilt get an offensive putback without even trying to rebound.

I cannot remember the last time Jonas blocked a shot. How is our starting center averaging 0.5 blocks/game?

It’s pretty telling that Willie is even having to talk about effort at all
Meanwhile Zion is waddling around 15 feet away from the huddle having a grand time
The spirit and leadership of this team feels broken. Even during the 4 wins in 5 game stretch.
Team doesn’t feel like it loves each other or winning anymore.

This was Treys worst game of the season. The worst.
He couldn't do anything tonight.

Trey is 0-for-6 in 20 minutes. Oof.
Thought he made a 3 this wuarter. So have we not attempted a 3 in the 4th?
Bold strategy when you’re losing by double digits

JV is a strong rebounder but he has his limitations. The biggest issue is our lack of a strong secondary rebounder in the rotation. Willy is our 2nd best rebounder but he is barely in the rotation.
Our wings are disappointing as rebounder and boxing out. I'm not even sure why. They have length and athleticism to be strong rebounders.

Right. Like they shouldn't need to be reminded that this is an important game. EVERY game against the Lakers is crucial for this franchise. We don't want them making the playoffs.

Maybe they’re tired of being let down year after year by zion. I know I would

This team routinely has nights where it looks like they said "we had a long trip over here.. and a few more road games coming up.. lets not overdo it tonight"

remember how we were feeling after about 20-ish, 30-ish games?
yeah... I want that feeling back

How are we this bad at FTs?
Do we just not practice them? Ever?

Hot take
It might be time to start Jaxson Hayes at Center or Power Forward depending on the matchup.
Every year, he gives us 20-25 borderline stellar games. I think he’s only given us about 4-5 this year, so he’s due for a massive stretch run imo.
We have zero juice right now. I love Jonas, but he can’t move right now.
It’s Jaxson Time. I could point to a lot of games over the past 4 years where a single Jaxson play has ignited the entire team for the rest of the game. There has been multiple times a season, where we look like absolute shite, we are down 20, Jaxson makes one big play and we either rally back to victory or come damn close.
That’s the kind of juice we need right now. Contract year Jaxson bringing the pain down the stretch. A big Jaxson block or dunk brings the energy into the building similar to a big Zion block or dunk. Zion is down right now. So let’s play the wild card that we have.
Jaxson MF Hayes

Zion - when is he NOT down? Generational overhyped injury bust. Nothing like a 22 year old with $100 million in salary and endorsements just hanging out not contributing to the team.

I would also love to see Jaxson get some run, I don’t really see what he have to lose on the defensive end. He got in the game for two minutes against OKC and immediately got a steal. Granted, he turned it over the next play but I don’t think the thought was bad, just the execution. All I can think is he must be horrendous in practice for the team to refuse to give him a chance when we know with complete certainty that Val can do nothing to protect the paint against the likes of AD
