Yes. I was impressed with Melli’s quickness and hands. Looked like he got tired towards the end of the game missing everything short.
But I liked what I saw from him. Looks like he’s going to be a great signing.
And NAW needs to play. Sorry Frank

We are deep as F**k!
Griffin et al have done an amazing job putting this squad together.

Honestly, I'd say he played how I expected in the shift to NBA talent.

He needs to put on some weight and spend a redshirt season or two developing his incredibly raw skillset.

Okafor and Melli probably cemented themselves and I think that will ultimately help Hayes.

While Zion is in real good shape, he isn’t in optimal shape for this pace. I have a feeling his minutes are going to be managed in the regular season to prevent him from getting hurt while he works his way into optimal shape. I’m gonna guess 30 minutes a night for the first month of the season.

Those were the two fastest teams in the league last year. Didn’t realize the Pels played that fast.

Frank and Kenrich are the two players who, based on today, I would say don't have a long-term future in New Orleans.

No way Zion plays 30 minutes a night the first month. He played 24 tonight in a preseason game.

Exactly, and you think he’s only getting 30 a night once the season starts? No way, the west is to deep to put minutes restrictions on your superstar player. I bet he averages 36-40.

I would say as a young team, yeah Kenrich may not be here long term, but I like him a lot as an end of bench guy.
We simply have too much talent in the back court and Frank just isn’t good enough to warrant PT over the rest. He’s had more than enough time to prove it.
I’d rather find a way to get a big that can shoot in place of his roster spot.

The backup minutes at the 3 need to go to Hart (or we just go with a 3-guard lineup), and Kenrich doesn't need minutes at the 4. Kenrich is just going to be an average player.

I’m going to say it: I wasn’t overly impressed with Zion tonight. I mean, he was fine, but his conditioning is still off and his shot is not there.

His dunks and passing were on point. He will get there. He probably needs to lose like 15-20 lbs.

Are you trying to be that guy?

I mean we can poke a lot of holes in our team tonight but they just won by 29 with Zion filling up the stat sheet.

Im not sure what you want or looking for.

that’s his game bunchie, at least now. It’s sneaky-well rounded & effective, a lot of people won’t even realize the impact he has on the game when the nights over

kenrich has been singled out as a vocal leader.
he’s a glue guy. You need those guys

players like hart and Williams have real value to winning teams.
Jackson is superfluous and okafor despite his putbacks is liability on both ends (seriously...he may be the worst screen setting big in the league)

I maintain that the following will happen

1) jackson is a DNP
2) okafor gets spot end of quarter minutes until Jan
3) okafor gets cut before his contract guarantees and the pels sign a warm body for the DPE
4) pels trade the DPE player plus millers contract for a playoff forward who can set screens and defend the paint when favors is out

I think you are overlooking a big thing that made him extremely impressive tonight.

He’s making most of these plays in space and they aren’t designed plays or sets and he still displays his super high IQ by moving well in space and finding the openings to get the pass for the finish in the paint. That’s not something a lot of guys can do without a designed set. That’s great feel, awareness, and understanding of the game.

Wait until they run the pick and roll with him. He’s going to be nasty with that touch around the basket. It’s going to be unstoppable especially when he can showcase his ability to pass out of the paint.

Yea he needs some work and it’ll come with time. It’s nothing I was surprised at. Not sure what You were expecting tonight. He was great.
