This is our best defensive performance of the season. By far.

Definitely dominant in the second half for sure. Good game to watch for the fans.

Favors is huge on defense. He definitely sets the tone.

Bzdelik also came out and said he shifted focus from team defense to one on one defense. That’s been the difference lately.

Basically this team doesn’t talk enough and doesn’t have a high enough IQ to focus on a cohesive, complex team D.

Were the Blazers just cold or did the Pels play good defense? I don’t recall a bunch of open 3s like usual so I think it might have been good defense.

This is all I ask for from this team fight and dont play down like we did in some games this season would feel a whole lot better if we came out every game like that even if we lost

Defense was good. The Blazers didn’t play particularly well, but I thought the Pelicans played well.

They moved the ball a ton.

Frick! Win against shitty GSW and this would be 3 in a row

Oh well good win at a tough place to play. Let's steal another one in Denver

It’s a combination of both. I kept waiting for the Blazers to catch fire towards the end but they ended up bricking shot after shot. The defense in the third set the tone and Portland never recovered.

Idk if it’s IQ but they definitely don’t talk enough, that’s just a young team.

I think the shift in focus defensively is brilliant.

I think the individual D per player improving will create more cohesion in team concept because each player will have more trust in the other to get the job done. Hard to communicate when you don’t feel you can totally trust your teammate to do what needs to be done. Starting to see a change in that. Hopefully it’s not a mirage and continues

The interior defense was superb, from both Favors and Hayes. My favorite moment of the game is still Jaxson blocking Dame on the way up and then talking trash and clapping in his face.

The perimeter defense wasn't perfect, but it was better than usual. But the Blazers did brick a lot of 3s.
