AD seems like the kind that would not say anything if he had nothing nice to say.

Jax is a cautionary tale of why you never take raw, undeveloped, underachieving bigs early in the draft.
If the man had the work ethic and mentality of even a middle of the road NBA player he could be a borderline all star.
He hit the genetic lottery and was born on third base, but the stuff between his ears has him lagging behind people half as gifted and not nearly as privileged. And even then he still shows the flashes that he belongs, which is what makes him so frustrating.

Jax was literally the only player during Media Day to ask the reporters to not ask too many questions so he can get out of there quickly.

I have never heard a single player on our team talk about how Jax is consistently grinding away in the offseason or at practice.
You hear it about BI, Herb, Zion, Jose, Trey, Billy, Dyson has even received early praise, but the stories about Jax tend to be nothing, or revolve around him doing goofy shite like doing half court shooting contests and cutting up.
I know literally every game I went to last year(which granted was only a few, but included the playoffs), Jax was always the most casual and least locked in amongst the group.

I think AD is done with jaxs bullshite.
Zion would obviously come up often on game broadcasts then all of a sudden 1 game Joel mentioned Zion and randomly AD started with a line of he doesn't talk about players who aren't here, despite having talked about Zion all season lol.

all of that could be true, or none of it could be true. I would say there is a 50/50 chance that Jaxson becomes a real NBA player, or alternatively a top 10 bust.
this year will be it one way or another obviously. If billy is getting minutes then we will know

They’ll be fine. Hayes is finally in a good role for what he brings. It’ll be limited minutes and only in the right lineup.
The same can be said for Billy. JV and Nance should be able to man the position. Valanciunas has been relatively healthy this entire career. I don’t expect that to change especially if we manage his minutes this season and are not forced to over play him.

AD says Trey Murphy has to be 6'10
In Trey's interview he said he's 6'9.5 in shoes but he's not going to tell people he's 6'9.5, he just says 6'10.

Like I said too, what is frustrating with Jax is despite the seeming lack of effort and grind, he is showing he at least belongs in the league. Would probably start on a few teams even.
BUT, imagine if he was showing up like Herb before practice? Getting in extra reps with Vinson? Less offseason globe trotting and more time in the weight room and facility putting in work to improve his deficiencies? Picking Jonas's ear about rebounding, getting in early with Herb to work on defense, doing two a days like Herb to work on his three ball?
You just dont hear those stories and you can imagine if he just put in just a little bit more work his ceiling is near all star

I just read that thread. Very telling how AD avoided all Jaxon talk.
He gone.
He gone.

Not good teams mind you, or teams that are looking to give up something notable for someone like Hayes with his flaws, but he’d start in Indy, OKC, and Utah.

The one rationale I could see being a possibility would be that AD did overhype Jax last year, and maybe either as a precaution or from conversations with Jax, he is trying to avoid setting false expectations again.
…. But I personally don’t think that is it
Posted on 9/28/22 at 11:47 am to Bronc
I can't see Jax asking someone NOT to hype him. More likely he told AD to suck his dick and pissed him off.

Form looks a lot smother and cleaner, if he could get into even the mid to high 70% range that would be huge

He noted Zion's force and speed were really impressive.
