I don't care if we don't get a 1st, I'd rather give up Rivers than Ryno. Someone with cap space has to be interested, no?

That and it was funny watching Boom throw Asik and Parsons' names into hypothetical trades for Lamarcus Aldridge.

More dominos will fall in Asik-to-Pelicans deal. N.O. may move Austin Rivers to create cap space. One option: dad Doc owns trade exception

If you want to move Rivers, you don't do it now. He went from terricraptastic in year 1 to really bad at start of year 2 to below average/serviceable late in the year. He works so hard you can expect another jump in year 3. Let him prove himself and then ship him. Unless you are Dell and worried about the Brian Roberts backup PG/SG pain train. Then you move him now. Again, it's up to Dell though whether to bring back Roberts etc.

saw that earlier. i don't put much into that except spit balling. didn't Doc say he wouldn't want to coach his son? i feel like i remember that at some point

Where is the source for the Gerald Green rumors?

Now it turns out the Rockets got him for a discount and the Pelicans are going to pay him that $15 million they talked so much crap about. Just kind of funny.

Rivers is absolutely the best option to ship. He just isn't that valuable on our roster when healthy. Anderson will actually return value, though.

That and it was funny watching Boom throw Asik and Parsons' names into hypothetical trades for Lamarcus Aldridge.
So a lot of those trade scenarios were plausible. Then this year the Blazers did great, LaMarcus Aldridge got even better, and all of the trade talk disappeared and now trade scenarios from way back when look silly.
But at the time, they were much more valid due to the circumstances.

Where do you go when you go wandering, Boom? Surely not to boards you've been self-banned from

We give zero f's about draft picks. Asik = overrated and overpaid (not to mention injury prone)
Why can we not make a single move that I like?

what source?
That's what I'm asking. I saw it was mentioned like a page or 2 back but it was simply "rumors" at this point.

he can eat minutes at backup PG, especially with holiday coming off an injury. but outside of that, you are right, he does not bring value to the lineup considering his current skillset. yes he can drive, yes he can defend the perimeter, but he cant shoot, he cant finish, and he cant make free throws
he's expensive due to his draft slot for what he brings. its water under the bridge now that he was our lottery pick, time to cut bait. of the 3 (gordon/anderson/rivers) he is the most fungible asset. gordon and anderson will be harder to move due to salary/health concerns
