If thats what drives off loyal fans from supporting the pels, they’re not really loyal.

To some of the people in here whining:

What the frick do you want them to do? You wanted them off Bally's. They are off Bally's. Now that they are going onto local TV, you say you want them where? Back on Bally's? On another RSN? Which by the way does not exist. Where do you want them to go?

What is the big solution?

They have to figure out a way to get the games broadcast in HD when they are on Bounce. It was absolutely ridiculous to not be able to watch a game in HD.

Nobody is loyal enough to go back to the inferior product trough forever. The non-Bally games last year were atrocious. I have to find time to watch a lot of games as is, usually on DVR. I will absolutely watch less games if they don't have at least 1080P over cable.

I'd say lets wait and see. Last year was clearly a test run.

Lol the whole fan base is happy they’re off Bally’s but you. Seriously come on.

Nah being cheap is not a quality anyone strives to live up to.

So WVUE FOX will show all the Pels games or will they be on an Fox Alt channel? I'm a little confused here.

We shall see. They were literally the worst games to watch for me last year. Hard to get excited for that.

I'm also far from the only person that isn't thrilled with this change.

I think pelicans are doing what several NBA teams do and that is expand their fanbase and try to give a better product. From what I heard Ballys might file bankruptcy.

Nah. Bally’s was shitty but the alternative wound up being even worse for me and a lot of others. At least with Bally’s I was able to use my parents’ cable login and watch every game on their app in HD with DVR. The other games, despite being marketed as a local broadcast, were only available if you own an antenna and didn’t mind the shitty picture quality. I refused to buy an antenna just for that so I had to resort to scouring the internet on my phone for HD streams until I could find one with Joel and AD and then air playing it to my TV.

Yeah the pelicans organization is not really seeing you as a customer, who leaches off their parents cable, someone to target.

Wow, you actually admitted this and made it part of your argument? Just, wow.

"It's better that the Pels are behind a paywall that I can steal from my parents to watch rather than be in free over-the-air tv."

Not sure what to say.

I am fine with the switch if they broadcast the games in HD. Watching non HD games on a 65" flat screen TV is infuriating. Seriously, the picture and sound quality on Bounce was awful. They have to address this.

Fine. I paid $20 a month to watch HD streams with DVR and the other games required me to buy an antenna to watch a non-HD feed without DVR so I opted to air play HD internet streams to my tv instead which I wasn’t pleased about. Is my argument valid now?

I guess my question will be if Direct TV Stream will add the Bounce channel these games are on, or do I have to order a digital antennae

My question as well. So I googled.

Apparently, with my DirectTV Stream package, I have Bounce (channel 82 I think).

But, according to BounceTV.com, you can watch in Lafayette (for those asking) on KATC 3.5 with OTA antenna.

Just be aware that having Bounce in your cable package can be deceiving. I don't remember what providers, but people here ran into an issue where they have the national Bounce feed and you need the local version to get the game.
