The only trade I would consider for our 4th pick, is one that includes us getting beal. All else, I'm drafting garland.

Well this would incinerate a ton of the good will built up over the last month between the fans and FO.

The real question here is why did Cleveland give 30 year old Love that ridiculous extension anyway after LBJ left?

Due to all of the assets the Pelicans possess, they are going to be mentioned in any and every trade discussion. It’s not different than Boston being mentioned in a lot of trade talks with all of their assets in the past. It’s doesnt mean a lot.

@WindhorstESPN
Kevin Love's extension (4 years) is at the max salary in 2019-20 and '20-21, then no raise in '21-22 and then decreases in '22-23. Took about $8M less than his full max, according to sources

little tidbit i found on his contract.

HATE IT! Love's contract too big and hes always hurt. Would be pissed if we waste time and money on Love at this point

The money isn’t 100% my concern.

That’s co-mingled with questions as to how much of a defensive liability he is and whether we would need to park him at the end of games as a result.

I'm starting to think all these leaks are just Griffins way of driving up the price for the #4 pick to the point we actually get the return we want or a team goes full retard like the lakers.

Why would Atlanta give us #8 for sending Cleveland Moore and Hill?

I would do it if they took SoLo and #4 for the #5 and Love. Not opposed to having someone with his skillset, but they should be paying us for taking that contract.

Then who is most likely to go full retard?

Phoenix supposedly wants White and will wait until 6 to get him.

Cleveland at 5 hasn’t really been linked to ANY deals to this point and they need BPA because they are fricked post-LeBron.

Chicago is at 7 and needs a point, but I see them gambling on there being two at 6 then taking the guy Phoenix didn’t want.

Atlanta has the resources to go full retard but 8 is on the periphery of where all the good players are in this draft. We would be gambling that either someone takes Reddish or that we want him at 8.

Other teams like Orlando, Indiana, etc, would mainly be offering veterans since their picks are so far back.

Finally: I don’t know that Griffin wants Love at this stage. I do know he is a Love fan and the two men have a terrific relationship off the court. But I do know Griffin wants to deal around the draft, and so do the Cavs. And they do have several things in common, including a close, personal relationship between the two front offices.

This guy is just conjecturing

Situation is kinda like when your wife leaves you, you jump on the first thing willing, Love was very willing to sign that contract and stay...

Trading for Love (who has one of the worst contracts in the NBA) would be worse than making a Brooklyn/AD trade that doesn't include Russell.

Absolutely hate that trade idea. I would be somewhat okay with it if he had 3 years remaining on his deal (falling off the books at the same time as Jrue), but 4 years is a no go for me.

Not because he's actually interested
